Salutations Threadies :)

It started out 39 degrees for my drive to work. The rain has left and its going to be nice today. I have gotten over my stolen lasagna ordeal from yesterday. Watched those stupid Love for Ray J, Brett Michaels Rock of Love shows last night. Now they have one called I love NY Goes to Work.

As much as I hate to admit this, but I do watch those shows. I am constantly amazed at the characters that participate on them.

Went to visit Rha and Amaranthim's stores last night. Very nice guys. I see LL did not filter out one of my favorite (if I need to cuss you out) cuss words, motherfucker. Now I can breathe easier. :D

Don't you hate when you go into the lunchroom and someone steals your lunch. I had some lasagna and I have to eat a bag of chili cheese fritos. I am so mad!!!:(

There was a girl who did that EVERY DAY. We packed a sandwich full of red hot peppers and left it for her. That was the end of it.

We talked about making a hero sandwich full of dog turds but no one could do it.

Good morning people.

Brenda - I just read in the Linden's 'Further' thread that someone unexpectedly sent you a Linden Bear. I hope that isn't their version of a horse's head in the bed! ;)

I need to find coffee, i ran out in th house i must go beg, steal, or boroow...
Husband and kids both learned very quickly that absolutely nobody wants to deal with me before coffee. My husband even brings a cup up to set on the bathroom counter just before I get out of the shower in the morning. Days when I have to do blood work, I sleep until just before they open, get up, toss clothes on, fill the car cup, and take it in to immediately gulp as soon as they draw the blood.

While I might do some of my best work in the morning, hence my really early work hours, I am not at all social before lots of coffee.

If you participated in the "democratic process" at all you have to acknowledge responsibility.

sorry about the lasagna. i also watch those shows, and all the wacky spinoffs that come from them. i enjoy them because they live out stereotypes and that makes me laugh out loud, but also because i always come away feeling so normal and sane. most of those people are fruit loops!

You may have noticed that there's one thing I don't complain about: Politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says, "They suck". But where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. No, they come from American homes, American families, American schools, American churches, American businesses, and they're elected by American voters. This is the best we can do, folks. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out.

....I have solved this political dilemma in a very direct way: I don't vote. On Election Day, I stay home. I firmly believe that if you vote, you have no right to complain. Now, some people like to twist that around. They say, "If you don't vote, you have no right to complain", but where's the logic in that? If you vote, and you elect dishonest, incompetent politicians, and they get into office and screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You voted them in. You caused the problem. You have no right to complain.

I, on the other hand, who did not vote -- who did not even leave the house on Election Day -- am in no way responsible for that these politicians have done and have every right to complain about the mess that you created.

Remember folks, Hitler was elected in a full, free, Democratic election.

*George said that, too.

<Stuff about not voting>

It isn't just a question of not voting. As I specifically said, you have to take responsibility 'If you participated in the "democratic process" at all'.

Pep (Shooting politicians does not count as participation)

Sure it does.

Brenda (Shooting yourself would be considered not participating)

I am going to tell you about something so horrible that my husband did to me, that you will gasp in disgust and amazement that anybody could be that cold. He is not a coffee drinker, he'll drink it if it's there but really doesn't care if he doesn't get it. I CARE. DEEPLY. It's a NEED, and I am picky about it. A few weeks ago, he told me he'd make the coffee; I was getting ready for work and said ok, that's nice, thanks. He brought me a steaming cup and I thought hmmmm, noticed right off, smelled 'off'. Was getting a cold, so thought it was me.....started drinking it. NO, something is OFF, I can tell immediately, what is it, what's wrong with this coffee? I started questioning him and he fessed up. He is 'green', recycles everything carefully. Decided to try using used coffee grounds another time. Poured fresh water over old, yesterday's grounds.....OMG. Is that disgusting or what? I told him, look, this is very simple. I work every day. I WILL have my coffee, fresh. I am not recycling it. If I cannot have fresh coffee whenever the desire hits me, then I will quit my job and stay home, there is no need for me to work if I have to start recycling coffee. Was VERY gross. Other coffee lovers will understand......Sympathy? lol (He's my 2nd husband, at this rate will be my 2nd *ex* husband)

Hi Sable- thanks for dropping in- if you went to my main store, I apologize for the look- I am starting to remodel and it's a bit of a mess. And I hope you didn't need to cuss me out- I didn't quite understand that part of your post.

See the thing is here, I have NO problem making my own coffee. Since I am the one that coffee is important to, I expect to make it. That's ok. NO PROBLEM. But if YOU pop up out of the woodwork, offering to make it, and passing it off as 'a nice thing to do' then make it right. Otherwise, leave it the hell alone, as nobody asked you to touch it in the first place.......I've been making my own coffee for a long, long time, before he came along and will probably still be making it after he's gone. I don't need any 'help' or to be taught any new tricks, either. Don't want to make it right? Stay away from it. No negotiation.

THIS is the funny part. LOL

husband's can be so - unthinking - sometimes. but i do admire his want to conserve. he just needs to be a bit more practical about it. i'm sure the repulsion part of the scenerio wasn't intentional (well, i hope not anyway) :p
