From: Treasure Ballinger See the thing is here, I have NO problem making my own coffee. Since I am the one that coffee is important to, I expect to make it. That's ok. NO PROBLEM. But if YOU pop up out of the woodwork, offering to make it, and passing it off as 'a nice thing to do' then make it right. Otherwise, leave it the hell alone, as nobody asked you to touch it in the first place.......I've been making my own coffee for a long, long time, before he came along and will probably still be making it after he's gone. I don't need any 'help' or to be taught any new tricks, either. Don't want to make it right? Stay away from it. No negotiation. Funny, I had almost exactly that conversation this morning. Pep (No I don't want to be woken up earlier than I have set my alarm just because *you* couldn't sleep and decided to put the washing machine, microwave and kettle on, and bringing me an unsweetened - ewww - coffee is no compensation whatsoever)

I remember our local new station showed footage of this guy peeing in the coffee pot then placing it back on the burner. I'm not a coffee drinker but if I was, probably stop cold turkey after viewing that.

Over the years, I have seen similar footage involving all different types of places and foods, and what people do to them...your safest bet is to make everything at home

Sigh. Got laid off.
So all of us jobless people, what do we know how to do? Elora's an accountant. I can do research, a little database design, a smidge of graphics design. Mari knows everyone on the planet and can make 3D stuff. Brenda can teach and has the patience of a saint. What can other people do? We should all pool together and figure something out.

I just visited Lord Sullivan's place, for the first time. I like it, if you are into that sort of thing. It is a refreshing change from the usual Dungeon motif, which has been done to death...... Anyhow, I bought a few things and wandered a bit. Lord is one of the pointmen on the Adult Content escapade, he went to one of the brown bags, has been collating Linden Answers and along with several others is working on a dedicated Wiki. He also has put out a way for anyone who wants to make their own statement. I'll link it because it may be NSFW...especially if you work at Linden Lab: http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/6277/snapshot002.jpg

From: Maureen Boccaccio I agree, 3Ring; I love the perspective we get in Tex's photo. And lol, yes...I'm sure Tex will come along later, but he did share that pic with us...sometime... . I'm glad to see it again, since it's one of my favs! Yes, 3Ring caught me. That photo was from a couple of years ago. That photo was already in Photobucket, and I don't know how to get a Flickr pic to show up here. So, I took the easy way out and used it. The rest of the photos in Flickr are from this year.

From: 3Ring Binder what did you pack for lunch today, sable? A leftover salisbury steak with gravy and, steamed zuchini squash. I cooked the gravy with diced celery, red/green peppers and white onions. It looked really pretty for some reason to me last night. Probably, because my son took a huge portion of hamburger meat that I set aside for hamburger helper and he made him a cheesburger. I really didn't want to fix hamburger helper anyway. But after cooking large sunday dinner, I'm a lazy cook on Mondays. Right now, my lunch is sitting right next to me. AND, I already put it out there if someone even looks at my lunchbox, I am going to use one my favorite profanity words that I mentioned in a previous posting with a dose of colorful adjectives.

From: Ashe1 Writer ................. btw, hope Tex is ok and that he doesn't live on the NW side of town. The pictures on the news show horrible flooding Hiya Ashe, Yes, I do live on the NW side of town. We had 5 1/2 inches of rain at the house between 1 and 6 am this morning. The street was about 12 to 18 inches deep, but the house is high and dry. I slept in a bit and let the water drain off some before heading in to the office. A lot of other folks around town were not as lucky. We really needed the rain here, just not all at once!
