Art in RL that you may have seen in SL - this artist has a presence in SecondLife.

http://richardjhinger.com/

It fascinates me when SL that is among other things, an expression of the Residents' art and visions, can also blend with RL art.

Just another example of the Governemnt interfering with probably the most vital industry this country has, as they have been doing for years and destroying it.

*Waves to the Threadies* I'm working from home today, as the eagerly-anticipated cat enclosure is being installed as we speak! I'm so excited for the kitties to be able to enjoy the courtyard, and for me, as I tend not to enjoy my outdoor spaces so much when there are two wistful faces pressed to the glass watching my every move. :o

Love the artist Amara! I also like Static Schultz who is a RL artist with a presence in SL. Check out his gallery sometime.

Also his skydancers I believe have a show with some openings availdable to watch Sunday am. So if your interested contact Chestnut Rau for tickets.

I hope that name use like this is ok.. if not someone kick me and I will edit.

UGH - I went downstairs last night trying to find the source of a 'wet towel' smell. I only am usually down there weekly to clean the cat box out and sometimes in between if I need something in the storage room, so it had been since last weekend that I had last descended the stairs. Low and behold the carpet in the bedroom and two large floor rugs are soaked - but no other immediate signs of water. So started poking around. Apparently, with the big snow dump last weekend and then the massive warm up and melt off, it seems that the main floor drain back up - probably when the water softener went thru the cycle and dumped tons of water into it. So now we have this huge cleanup to deal with.

NOT how I wanted to spend ANY of my weekend.

@ Lil - Yikes, what a mess! Having a home is a wonderful thing, except when things like that happen!

I remember one flood I had, in the basement while my ex was out of town on business. I felt like Mickey Mouse in the Sorcerer's Apprentice all night long - bucket after bucket and every towel in the house on the floor, it was pointless.

I finally just looked at the floor, all the water pouring in from the fireplace (yep) and said to myself "f--k it, let it do what it may, I'm going to bed". Woke up the next morning and crept downstairs; thankfully it had stopped probably right after I'd gone to bed, so it wasn't *horrible*. Went upstairs and made coffee and ignored it for hours :p I just couldn't deal with it yet.

Just not the way anyone would want to spend their weekend, cleaning that up :(

OK- let me try that again - posted wrong pic...

Good Morning Threadworld- another sparkling, bright shiny morning. Here is one from last night- Unintended Waters - see Showcase.

Following Amara's lead I visited Unintended Waters. I sat on the piano as Captain Jean Luc Picard played...
