From: Pserendipity Daniels I wouldn't dream of offering you a smartass answer Marcel. I would point out, though, that I am as entitled to express my opinion as to what is disgusting as you are. Pep (I would be more than happy to ignore a dedicated LOLCATs thread) You know as well as I do, that there is a difference between expressing your opinion like I do, and posting disgusting pictures. What you are doing, has got nothing to do with expression your opinion. it is extortion: "If you stop posting lolcatz, you get rid of me stop posting dead animals with their throat slit." "If you pay me 10.000 linden for this 16 m2 plot with a spinning, particle spewing smiley, you get rid of it."

One telling symptom of sociopathic behaviour is the inability to work in groups, or co-exist with others within a community that serves a common goal. Whereas the concept of "majority rules" or "common consensus" is normally acceptable within such a group, the sociopath considers his or her own needs to come before all others.
Thus, instead of accepting the negative aspects of the group's activities in order to benefit from the positive ones, the sociopath endeavours to conform the group to his or her personal ideals, often with predictable results.

From: Brenda Connolly I like the different varieties, Hawaiian, South American, Kenyan, when you drink it black like I do you can really taste the differences. I get my Kona from a college friend who works for a defense contractor. She has to suffer the horrible pain of being sent to Hawaii several times a year for missile tests. Poor dear. I don't know anyone that goes there on a regular basis. I discovered real Kona 12 yrs ago when I went for the first time - and found out that what they call Kona in the stores around here is really only 10-15% real Kona mixed with other stuff. So I order it via the internet now - 5 lb bag of beans at a time.

As I have previously said, I find the LOLCATs nauseating in their saccharin sweetness, in addition to which the language used offends me. I post reminders of real life in the thread to distract me from this sickly feeling. I have expressed my opinions regarding this before, and although there is no necessity for anyone to post LOLCATs, I acknowledge that I have no mechanism for preventing people from doing so. Pep (Mo has apparently succesfully convinced an invisible moderator to carry out a stealth removal of what they arbitrarily consider offensive, but no LOLCATs have disappeared unfortunately)

From: Marcel Flatley One 'resident OT' thread in RA seems enough as it is, plus I really do not see why one ass should mess it up for a lot of others. What is next? An ass posting car accidents because he dislikes Maureen's stars? Another ass posting open wounds because they hate pics of pie? yeah, I know. I thought of a way to make LOLPEPs but someone told me it would violate the TOS.

I normally don't recycle my thoughts of the day. But I am of the opinion that today calls for such an act. Today, I return to two thoughts, which provide a sturdy soapbox for any proselytizing that the J-man might be forced to do today. If the J-man is tilling at windmills he might as well go whistle into the wind Smile- this too shall pass. Ohmmmmm

I have found that groups for whom external rules are established (not just groups where *I* have established the rules) *and are observed* run a lot more effectively than those anarchistic agglomerations where formal rules are ignored, and any unwritten rules are modified to satisfy the whims of the ruling clique. Pep (Your argument fails anyway, as your concept of a "common goal" is invalid.)

Could it be that deep inside you know I am right? To be sure, I will post it again: You are trying an extortion technique. No matter in what words you try to wrap it, it comes down to plain and simple extortion. maybe calling it 'posting reminders of real life' soothes your conscience, but that does not make it suddenly different. Extortion it is.

From: Pserendipity Daniels So when someone exchanges Lindens for your goods that is extortion by you? Or is it extortion if someone refuses to pay Lindens to buy your goods? Pep (Fair exchange is no robbery) PS You are overdue a PM from one of the non-existent clique advising you that the appropriate behaviour is to ignore me! Certainly you should not be quoting me! As I said, no matter how you try to bend it, it simply is extortion. Of course you know that your compare with the exchange of goods is ridiculous, but I will explain it nevertheless. There is, after all, a small possibility that you are less intelligent then I give you credit for. If someone pays me for my goods, it is because they want my goods. If they do not want them, they do not come to my shop. or they come and admire my work, but do not pay for it. If they want it, and think the price is right, they buy it. They pay to acquire something. They have a choice and can go elsewhere. I am not the only plants creator. And not the only low prim furniture creator either. If someone wants that 16 m2 parcel with the spinning particle spewing smiley on it, it is because they want to get rid of the sight. The price set on the parcel is what they have to pay to get rid of something. Not to acquire something. The spinning particle spewing smiley is put on that parcel, to extort the neighbors. To encourage them to buy the owner out, to get rid of it. If someone wants to get rid of your distasteful pictures, they have to stop posting lolcat pictures. They have no other choice. They do not undertake a certain action to acquire something, they undertake action to get rid of something. Again, I give you credits for having enough intelligence to come up with this yourself, but I do not mind explaining it nevertheless. As for the clique IM, I did not get any IM, and f I did, I would not have ignored you anyway. Never have put anyone on ignore. That way I can recognize the bullies from the regular users.

Pep (How about pest controllers? - he says, opening up a whole new vista for potential insults. ) The fact this is all you can come up with, proves either that you are less intelligent then I gave you credits for, or the fact that you simply know you are wrong. You and I both know which one it is, care to enlighten the rest as well?
