Actually I had a slave do that once when I was heavily into Gor. My companion bought her as a present to be my maid and assist me with my wardrobe. Needless to say she didn't last long there. Her short life ended at the jaws of urts when she was thrown in the river after she was caught. Managed to "kill" seven men though but that was deemed unrealistic roleplay and discounted. That's Gor for you though, all drama, all the time ;)

BTW Love all the pics, Kaimi, Lexxi, Mo, et al :)

I miss all the fun stuff in Gor.

For Elora: I've heard Prague is gorgeous and pretty cheap, and would be lovely in May. Me personally, I'd go to India or Egypt.

Ok I'm afraid to say this. But that's in my budget :o

So, Elora, can I borrow a few bucks? Just 'til payday, I promise! *crosses fingers*

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Turns out she was roleplaying Gor as an alternative fantasy where she was an alien sent to Gor to seek out certain people and assassinate them in order obtain artifacts to save her home planet. She was the only blue skinned Gorean slave I have ever seen.
Very strange indeed.

All three pics are fabulous. But pic number 3 is awesome, Lexxi. You look incredible. That pic also reminded me that I've got camo in my inventory. :D

thanks :)

Yeah tell me about it. Though when I got to the first novel in which the Kurii spaceships were introduced, I was like WTF? This has taken a strange twist...

...buy gum
...shoes off
...Bailey's is teh hawtness
...blonde jokes ftw
...lot's of f-bombs
...cat food can't fail

kay!

Hey Maureen...whatcha doin' tonight? :D

Hah! Why, you sure know how to sweep a woman off her feet!

Let's review:

Buy gum: Hmmm. I like to chew gum. However, I do not chew it in public, though, since I can get a little...energetic with my chewing. So...no gum chewing, unless you're sharing.

Shoes off: well, I'd prefer you keep them on at the restaurant. However, as soon as I get home...my shoes come off, so yours can, too.

Baileys? No. (it's OK, but not my first choice) Irish Mist? Yes. But criminy, yes, please do not order for me.

Blonde jokes: Well, regardless of the hair color involved, jokes about people doing goofy things are usually pretty funny, but for heaven's sake, it's not a good idea to slam a blonde with blonde jokes.

f-bombs: We've covered this, dammit. :D Sooo romantic....NOT!!

Cat food: well, duh...neko!! (part-time) I do like fish...and I really do like canned tuna. Albacore, please.

Nah, he could have worked it in. He did have some strong women. Granted 1) somewhere along the line she would be captured (again) and find that she liked being slavegirl (after finishing her mission, maybe), 2) as a non-human female she falls into a different category, 3) ignored, more or less, by the man, or just killed like one or more ended up.

If no one cares that you are throwing a tantrum, and generally ignore you . . . well, there is a reason shunning was so popular at one point in time in certain cultures (and still in certain cultures).

India, would be a dream Oryx. With Ghosty being Hindu particularly. I've always wanted to visit there as well. Both of us are very into the cultural aspects of the country and my oh my, do I love the food aside from all else!

I just think we couldn't get enough time off from work to make it worthwhile :( Seems like you'd need to be there for at least 2 weeks.

I'd second Oryx's suggestion of Prague. Everyone I know whos been there says its a great time.
Ireland is good too, went there last September.
Last summer Mum made her way by Car through France and Spain, some of the pictures are lovely, If you could find a small town in France, it's a wonderfully relaxing time, and though not hot and humid, it's not freezing either.

If I personally had the choice, I'd spend time in one of those cabins in the snowy parts of France/Austria where everyone goes skiing, only I wouldn't trust myself to ski lol. but thats at the wrong time of year to what you are wanting i think.

Not hot and humid? England :p

Exactly he definitely could have. After the Kurii spaceships and the sudden switch to some high technology he could have sprung anything and it would not have been much more surprising.

The inworld storyline was very adhoc and mostly in the girl's head, the admins were not very happy at all and all the warriors (especially the dead ones) were furious.
My companion and I had a lot of explaining to do I can tell you.

All nice ideas. France IS a possibility. My bosses brother has an apartment there he uses "once and awhile". I keep wondering if I can managed to conive somehow to borrow it :o

Austria, wow. My grandmother was from there originally, or whatever it was at the time before borders and all changed. Unfortunately, no sking happening. Those bum knees won't allow it however, we both enjoy cooler weather and hanging out in a snowy atmosphere sounds enjoyable nonetheless lol.

Ok opinions.

Turning 50 in May. Want to take amazing vacation to celebrate but, don't want to spend an outright fortune. Only been to Barcelona as far as Europe is concerned so would love to go anywhere overseas.

Nothing hot and humid. Blah. Ok might consider Hawaii. May probably would be nice but, I think it may be too expensive that time of year anyway.

Of course, Ghosty is attached at the hip. I think he's hoping for Amsterdam or Ireland although both are contenders without him having to beg for them anyway.

Hit me with your best shot :) . Where would YOU go?
Have you considered Scandinavia? Sweden, Finland, etc. All very beautiful. You could go and see the midnight sun in the summer, it is one of those unique things they say you must see and perhaps taste the unique cloudberries which I am told are not grown anywhere else in the world. The have the shape of a raspberry but are orange and taste quite unlike anything else you have tasted.

No I can honestly say I never have. Is it a Gor based novel? I have only read the John Norman novels about Gor.

Actually, Norway came up in conversation just yesterday! And of course that led into a general discussion of the area.

Basically I think we're ready for retirement but neither of us have THAT kind of money :p
