From: Gabriele Graves Exactly he definitely could have. After the Kurii spaceships and the sudden switch to some high technology he could have sprung anything and it would not have been much more surprising.
The inworld storyline was very adhoc and mostly in the girl's head, the admins were not very happy at all and all the warriors (especially the dead ones) were furious. My companion and I had a lot of explaining to do I can tell you. I think the blue skinned slave girl market would have been a win- remember the "exotics" they were breeding there a while. I forget what book it was. Exotic in this case was girls raised completely ignorant that males even existed - then when bought- given to them. That had to be the singularly most evil thing i read really. Fed to urts pales by comparison. Imagine the terror of such creatures, raised pampered, elite, as precious jewels, every whim met- then - reality - madness wd be sure to take them - and that, if i recall was part of the charm...

From: Gabriele Graves No I can honestly say I never have. Is it a Gor based novel? I have only read the John Norman novels about Gor. No- not Gor- a time travel thing but with slavery again at it's core. But less developed I think than the Gor novels.

Hey Elora, Based on my limited experience, I'd say almost any place in Europe would be fun. I went on a business trip to Norway a couple of years ago. It was in February, brrrr, but I'd love to back again in the summer. This may not suit everyone's style or taste but in 2005 we did a train and bus tour thru Copper Canyon in Mexico. One of my best vacations ever. [/

From: Claire Silverspar Iceland? or Greenland? You can see the Aurora Borealis. I'd go just for that alone!

One of my best vacations ever. Funny you should mention that. A good friend of mine that I met in SL, is a huge train buff. He's done every major train ride in the US/Mexico and has raved about that particular line. Both Ghostys ex and mine, were train buffs as well. I had spoken a length about doing one of those train vacations with mine several times. It would be ironic if him and I wound up taking a trip like that, however, it's very appealing and I'll keep that one in mind as well. I haven't been to Mexico yet, which is astonishing because I speak enough Spanish to be able to get by, love the culture and well, I just really don't know how I haven't gotten there yet.

From: Elora Lunasea Ok opinions. Turning 50 in May. Want to take amazing vacation to celebrate but, don't want to spend an outright fortune. Only been to Barcelona as far as Europe is concerned so would love to go anywhere overseas. Nothing hot and humid. Blah. Ok might consider Hawaii. May probably would be nice but, I think it may be too expensive that time of year anyway. Of course, Ghosty is attached at the hip. I think he's hoping for Amsterdam or Ireland although both are contenders without him having to beg for them anyway. Hit me with your best shot . Where would YOU go? Pittsburgh! Once here, you'll think you're in another country

Yes, I felt exactly the same when I read about exotics too - sickening. The blue skinned girl was passing herself off as an exotic and that is why my companion bought her, however none of us knew what lurked beneath. Nice girl otherwise though and secretly I was rooting for her as she killed quite a few pompus asses *laughs*

From: Elora Lunasea /me comes 'a-knockin on Claires doorstep All nice ideas. France IS a possibility. My bosses brother has an apartment there he uses "once and awhile". I keep wondering if I can managed to conive somehow to borrow it Austria, wow. My grandmother was from there originally, or whatever it was at the time before borders and all changed. Unfortunately, no sking happening. Those bum knees won't allow it however, we both enjoy cooler weather and hanging out in a snowy atmosphere sounds enjoyable nonetheless lol. How bum are the knees? One thing that's super fun to do in the summer time, esp in Germany and Austria is hiking. They have these cool little things called huttas that are scattered all over the mountains. The idea is to hike from one to the next, and sleep overnight there. All you need during the day is a daypack with water and lunch; the huttas usually have dinner and breakfast, and sleeping bags n stuff for night. It's a nice change from the hotel thing, and you get to see some amazing scenery; we're talking Sound Of Music stuff, and the little flowers are all out, and the grass is green, and the air is super duper clear and clean.

Not awful but not good either. I have no cartiledge in either of them. Bad (separate) falls on both in the past few years which required the meniscus to be removed in each. I can walk, but sometimes it's worse than others, quite unpredictable and spending an entire day like that would be a hardship. I'm always in and out of physical therapy with them. It's weird, I can scurry around NYC like nothing but things like climbing wreck me. It sux, because it sounds like a really nice relaxing, different way to have a vacation.
