Got my new computer setup and running today. Still no official internet connection, but thanks to someone in the neighborhood whose wireless network isn't password protected, I'm able to pop in here and sya Hello.

The company that is directly across the street from the place I work at has their wireless network unsecured. I even went over and told them... they said they didn't care, no one could get in to their important stuff... WRONG. :p


Often I stay in hotel for my work, then I have my private laptop with me for SL and other things I do in my spare time. The laptop has of course wifi and when I scan for the hotels network (if they have no wires), I see very often unprotected networks. Specially in the big cities as Amsterdam... and the names tell me that they are not all private networks, far from that.

I am astonished by the number of private networks near my house which are easily identifiable (like "JohnDoe" or something) ...and then they have their home phone numbers as the passwords!!! :eek:

I've decided to rebuild my land again today...lose the snow and see what I can come up with. Course, the minute I decide to do this I get distracted by messing with pictures lol....
