Morning all. Snowing again today,I am never going to get my Christmas shopping done. My car is buried. Good thing it needed to be cleaned anyway....Thanks for breakfast Maureen.:)

I must say how amazed I am with the graphics/performance in SL now. I actually went to a busy store yesterday and everything rezzed incredibly fast. I was able to move with no problem. I have a feeling I'll be buying more lindens in the future... Was even at the hangout yesterday as a puppy running around super fast(I normally can't even walk there, never mind run). Hehe.:D I'm glad I bought this machine, very happy with it. Have a good day everyone.:)

Oh God. The forums' Walking Wikipedia Woman is online and posting again.

/me bashes head against wall.

I'm still trying to work out if she's the cleverest forum troll I've ever seen, or not. Because surely if you're clever enough to troll like that, you're intelligent enough for it to HURT playing that stupid all the time?

Ugh. I'm going back to RL giftwrapping. Wrestling with paper and stickytape is more fulfilling than giving myself brainache trying to read her nonsensical piffle.

Good morning friends. This is a rare weekend posting!

Weather is awful here in NJ. So, we're just hanging out, going to do nothing but watch the boob tube, sucking down massive amounts of coffee, catching up on the forum (geez "that" person on the other thread is a freakin' pain but oh so amusing in a "I want to pull your hair out" kind of way) and eventually, making homemade pizza.

Last night, Ghosty and I got my car stuck in a tiny little ice bank as we tried to pull into one of the last parking spots in my lot. I say "we" because I initially was pulling in; realized I wasn't going to be able to manage it and asked G to do it for me.

Well, he backed out a bit, went forward and.....tires started just rolling around and car was going nowhere. Spent the next 45 minutes with him inching (is that a word? That looks very odd written out) back and forth, pushing the car, etc. in 25 degree weather while our Chinese food dinner was going cold :(

He eventually managed to get it out much to my shock. I thought we were going to have to call AAA for sure. It was then I decided to house it in the parking garage for the night (well, 24 hour period) for $15. There was no way we were going to attempt getting that car into any of the remaining spots again.

Ok, that's my little story for today :) Hope you're all having a loverly loverly day!

This is interesting. I don't do much of the chatting stuff with others, but it is pretty neat to se me walking around the bottom of my screen.

gaaah...Elora. So glad you/Ghosty were able to get the car out, and into the warmth of the parking garage.

Hope you're staying at home today, all warm and cozy. :)

I also recently downloaded the Irfanview package -- a freebie - to play with. Someone told me it did image stuff also.

Thanks,I'll check that one out too. I have PSP and Photoshop on my laptop. Can't seem to put either on here.(PSP was digital download) So I have a feeling I'll be downloading lots of programs until I get a good assortment of all the features I want, lol.

I have Gimp and have heard great things and many people use it -- but I'm also told it is quite complicated, though that might just be for people like me that have no artistic talent and do not understand the image and layering issues anyway.

irfanview is another. I don't think it's as versatile as GIMP, but it's easier to use, at least for me.

Never used Irfanview, but I use Gimp, and I love it. Gets a bit complicated, but I spent a couple of days messing with it and that helped. Also, its easy to use with SL running at the same tiem cause its not a whole screen program.
I'll have to have a look at Irfanview though, sounds like it could be a good alternative.
