Stripping out of our combat gear sounded fun, but I guess I am out, I don't think I can pull off a burlesque girl disguise.

No way. "Girl" was not in Linnie's original written game plan...so, you're good.

Apparently, the more recent Star Wars trilogy made so little impression on me that I have no recollection of why Anakin turned to the Dark Side...

He turned to the dark side because he fell in lava. And thought his wife was sleeping around. And all the other Jedi's wouldn't let him be a true full Jedi. And he likes creepy older men.

I've told the joke here of the dyslexic bank robber. He walked into the bank and shouted"
"F**k 'em up Mothersticker. This is an uphold!"

*And before the PC Police come looking for me, that was told to me by a dyslexic friend.

I wouldn't trust anything a dyslexic told me.

i know someone in RL who gives us rides (altho i won't get in one).

I have one planned for Saturday. We're booked for a package that includes a limo pickup, a Helicopter Flight over Hoover Damn, with landing by Lake Las Vegas. Then we boat across the lake to the resort there for dinner, boat back to the chopper, then fly back to Vegas, with a Flyover The Strip at night. I did a couple of years ago and it's fabulous!

had you made this trip 1 1/2 years ago, my very close relative would have possibly been the pilot. there were only a couple of tour companies doing it then.... i'm not sure how many now, or even who - we've sort of fallen out of the heli business now, it seems. :(

have fun! and please take pics to share.

(which company did you use then, and which one now?)

It would be an even more wonderful day if I could leave work early today to start a very long weekend, like some of you over the water are doing.

Pep (Votes for Wales becoming the 51st State)

Again: The holiday is Thursday. Others get other days off because of where they work or the like, and some do not even get Thursday off (Thanksgiving).

I'm just getting Thursday off. And over here we get Christmas day off, not any other (except for those lucky ones who get more from their work). We do not have boxing day or whatever it is called.

What good are jedi mind tricks if you can't convince her you are the Emperor in bed?

He should have just waved his hand..
"You arrived 10 times"
"I arrived 10 times"
"I am not hung like yoda"
"you are not hung like yoda"

No wonder he went mecha.

Now goodnight! :o

Arrived? What, she had left?

We'll get you out...we'll get you both out. Or if we can't, we'll keep you entertained.

Mo...it's a rescue mission. We'll need you, and Trout, and about six other vounteers. Major Connolly will get us in by chopper and drop us off well outside the compound just after sunset. Then we all strip out of our combat gear. We'll walk up to the front gate disguised as the burlesque show troupe hired to amuse the guards for Thanksgiving.

Bring your Pie thrower.

Rescue...check
Mo...check
Trout...check
Maj. Connolly...check
chopper...check
strip...check...ahem...double check
sunset...
...
wait...I still have to wait until sunset?! I can sneak out by myself in the dark!

*stomps around mumbling under his breath, ears quivering*

oh! you gotta go check out the size of the Harley sevice dept on Eastern. HUGE store.

and try the Texas Station buffet. pretty good. Arizona Charlies has typical eggs/bacon/pancake 1.99 breakfast if you don't buy any beverages. bring your own coffee. LOL

there's a fab irish pub/restaurant over where the subdivision is wrapped around the waterfront... i can't remember the name. yummy dinner specials. worth the time.

costco is HUGE!

I think the Pilot's name was Mark the last time. He was cute. Looked to be barely old enough to drive, let alone fly.

not the same company or name, but the age sounds familiar. ;)

the company my relative worked for went bankrupt last Feb. big controversy across the nation, and especially in Vegas.

BRING YOUR OWN COFFEE!!!!!! Oh, c'mon!

Yep been to Texas Station for the buffet. Terrible's has an awesome breakfast buffet.

Tonight dinner will be at Dan Marino's place at Hooter's, Thanksgiving will be the buffet at Caesar's. Sam's Town and The Golden Nugget are also buffet faves, and I always get in one visit to the Hofbrau House.

Personally I've already been to Las Vegas more times than I really wanted to, but I'm fully prepared to enjoy it vicariously through you, Brenda. So have a great time!
