First, the basics, for those on the go:

and for anyone whose tummy is still rumbling...

For Amara on her rez day:

Amara's big rez day is here
Come on threadies let's stand up and cheer
'cause she's cool and she's sweet
all our lives, she completes
So let's party! Hey, I'll bring the beer!

:D

Um...did anyone remember the pump? *scratches uselessly at the untapped keg*

OMG- this was so funny, I had to share :D From my WORK email this morning -

"A guy goes to the supermarket & notices an attractive
woman waving at him. She says hello.
He's rather taken back cause he can't place where he
knows her from, so he says "do you know me?" She
replies‚ I think you're the father of one of my
kids‚" Now his mind travels back to the only time he
has ever been unfaithful to his wife and says‚
"Are you the stripper from the bachelor
party that I made love to on the pool table w/all my buddies
watching while your partner whipped my butt w/wet
celery??? She looks into his eyes and says calmly,

"No‚ I'm your son's teacher!!!!!!!!!!" "

Jokes from 4th Century Greece:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7725079.stm

Philogelos: The Laugh Addict, which has been translated from Greek manuscripts, contains a joke where a man complains that a slave he was sold had died.

"When he was with me, he never did any such thing!" is the reply.

In the Python sketch, written 1,600 years later, the shopkeeper claims the dead parrot is "pining for the fjords".

• Someone needled a well-known wit: "I had your wife, without paying a penny". He replied: "It's my duty as a husband to couple with such a monstrosity. What made you do it?"

• A misogynist is attending to the burial of his wife, who has just died, when someone asks: "Who is it who rests in peace here?". He answers: "Me, now that I'm rid of her!"

Aww...shucks...you weren't forgotten, but a generic little rhyme woulda been an insult to a sweet person. :)

You'd have a high post count too...if you could just combine them, you one-person army, you.

Hey...that slogan DOES fit you: "3Ring Binder: An Army of One". :D

WC Fields was walking on a beach and saw a pretty girl.

"So my dear. Tell me. How's your ass?"

"Shut up!" was the indignant reply.

WC thought for a second and said "Hmmm. Must be the salt air".

the quote is larger than the article.

That's because the reporter was smart: he let a better writer do the piece for him. :)

We don' need no steenkin' pump!
/me sets a washtub under the keg, draws her pistol, and fires a round into the keg's lower portion. Beer gushes out, filling the washtub.

Good Morning Threadiverse!

The J went to bed early last night. :D

@Dekka - I love it! I AR'd it for 'failure to suck up to LL', but I love it! ;)

@Cito - Welcome to da fold. :) The water's great, hop in!

@Brenda - Meh...the game was blacked out here. All of S. Me. grabbed pitchforks, and started a march on Foxboro.

Yeah, it wasn't sold out! How they hell can a game against the Jets, for first place, not be sold out? Shame on you guys up there. There were tons of tickets available. If I wasn't already going up that way next weekend, I might have grabbed a pair abd a friend and made a trip out of it.
