OMG, i just see on the news that Washington is flooded. i hope our peoples here are not affected negatively.

From: Oryx Tempel
So far so good here. Unless you mean Washington DC, in which case I have no idea. :p

From: Lexxi Gynoid
Which Washington? What are you talking about? The whole state of Washington? Some city called Washington? Can't be Washington DC as I do not see water covering the ground when I look outside.

(sorry, you are making me nervous that I won't be able to get home, and we do have some very light rain at the moment, very light).

***Three Puget Sound-area counties and one city were put under a state of emergency Wednesday as relentless rain pushed some rivers over their banks and promised to bring more flooding today.

As of Wednesday night, King, Snohomish and Pierce counties and the city of Snoqualmie were declared in emergency status, a move that frees up resources and speeds efforts to document flood damage.***

Ah, thanks Mo! King county - I think that's Maggie's territory. I'm down in Thurston county, and we did have a super ton of rain for the last few days but today is dry and windy and brrrr! cold! A perfect day to snuggle with two cute dogs. :)

I am thinking about Thanksgiving weekend...is that a good idea or a bad one, given people's schedules?

i don't know if i personally will be back from my trip, but if so, i will attend. :)

I refuse to have a not allowed foods list. It's a list of fodds I will have occasionally because I like them and really don't give a crap what any doctor or food police person says, it's my life goddamnit, and if I want it to end a few years early so be it. *shakes fist*

huh...for some odd reason, I've not watched any Food Network show since February...there must be a connection...just can't quite put my finger on it...

But, when I did watch - I loved Guy Fieri and Alton Brown...Ina Garten, Michael Chiarello...and of course, "Ace of Cakes."

A few items on today's menu (in addition to coffee, of course):

granola with yogurt, raspberries, flax seed and fresh grated black pepper

Avocado omelet
Blech - too damn healthy.............. though I do see some little shrimpies peeking out of that omelet.......

From: 3Ring Binder
... of course, i'll pay for that. i will be very intimate with my bathroom after that. good thing i like it in there.
Thank you for that additional piece of TMI.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I'm glad that I have no clue what song that is there. Hate to have whatever that is running through my brain. Luckily I have no idea how that sounds.
The song is titled Bleeding Love (by Leona Lewis), but the other main part of the chorus is:

But I don't care what they say
I'm in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don't know the truth
My heart's crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I
... the 'keep bleeding' part ...

Here's the video if you want to hear it all:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-ctIC65PV0

I am not normally a pop music person, but every now and then, someone gets one where either the tune or some part of the lyrics really sticks in my head......... and for some reason, this one does.

This damn windows OS gives me at least a half dozen freakin security updates every day or two -- and the install always wants me to reboot the computer. Geez, if I did that to my users all the time, I would probably lose my job.

They should just preface each freaking reboot request with this:
