I knew that only too well . . . which is why I was surprised why she should be commenting on the dislocated sleep patterns of others.

Welcome back to a temporarily Mo-less thread Lil.

/me uploads mass quantities of drugs.

Sometimes the best way to spend time in SL is to just wander aimlessly. I just stumbled upon this little island in Mohrr.

A sign in the rocks calls it "Harry's Mud Hole". That's Harry Linden apparently. The big black smoldering object is a flying pig space craft of some sort. Next to the wreck is a chest that gives out "I heart SL" stickers. Inside the pup tent is a Coffee Linden Bear and a chocolate cake with carrots stuck in it.

Not sure why but I felt compelled to share this. :)

But should a guy even bother with either one? I've only done one hunt that was really worth it, and that was at a furniture store.

Oh...and finding the Tin Man costume in OZ. :)

where?

Well, in this case, it really did not make it any worse - not sure it could have gotten worse anyway. Today the sinus pressure finally started clearing, promptly followed by lots of sneezing and runny nose -- but very little headache now.

Yosef, my dear - you are always so good to us Forum women. When you cannot deliver personal service, you send along a substitute -- a substitute that could not possibly live up to you, but one that I will manage to make do with for a while.

I would pass him along when I was done, but I'm betting he'll be quite worn out for a while.

So........... this would not be a good time to say that I started the hunt yesterday late afternoon and finished around dinner time?

If at first you don't succeed....

...FOR THE LOVE OF LITTLE GREEN APPLES, don't stuff it into a freebie box and unleash it upon the SL populace!

After waiting around a while I realized this stuff was actually fully rezzed.
C'mon, people, the DELETE button is your friend! I realize designers have to start learning their craft somewhere, but how does this train wreck, when packaged with a helpful landmark, entice anyone to their shops to see the rest of their marvels?

I've given up on the Halloween hunts. Of course, you get what you paid for and we can't expect expensive treasures to spill out of those pumpkins but, for pity's sake, they are crammed with stuff that I haven't seen since my last, long-ago trip to noob island to dig through freebie boxes.

Instead of creating interesting puzzles or even mildly challenging hunts, it seems that every mall is jumping on the treasure hunt bandwagon by "hiding" their stuff in plain sight in some effort to drive business to their shops.
Yes, this is about marketing, but does it have to be brainless? We might be looking for freebies, but we're still spending our time (and in my case, money) while there, no to mention the task of having to go through our finds afterwards to sort utter rubbish from treats.

(My apologies to those sim owners who have created worthwhile adventures)
This is strictly me ranting. For lack of an actual question, I'm posting this here
:D

A lot of the time, you are really correct about the hunts - especially if has many stores in it. Eventually, you learn which places produce decent hunts.

For a hunt that actually generates clues that you must unravel (though not near as hard as that Mirel (sp?) one), join the Treasure Quest Hunters group. They do a 'normal' hunt twice a month with 25-30 locations each time and *most* of the stuff is decent. They also sometimes do 'challenge' hunts -- they will not offer hints in group chat for these, whereas you can get hints during the 'regular' ones.

BTW -- that clothing truly is horrid.

I'm so excited...THIS was in my SLU inbox:

Bless you

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May God bless you.

I am Rev Hilo Adieu, I know it is strange contacting you in the first place since we don’t know each other before, but please do not be offended for the strange contact, I also believe that the net has made it easier for people in distance places to come together through electronic communication. I am about to tell you something very important and I Will like you to treat it very serious, it was because of what I am about to tell you that made me to contact you, now read attentively as I comprehensively explained. There was a man in my ministry by name Late Mr Harry Justice and the wife Late Mrs Hojess Justice, Both of them were active members of our church and was sincere and devoted Christians too.

The husband died earlier before her wife joined him, may their soul rest in peace. Before the death of the wife Mrs Hojess who died last, she revealed to me something very important and serious because of the trust she had on me as her pastor, according to her, there was a total sum of $10.000.000 million her late husband Mr Harry deposited in the bank here which he wanted to use for foreign investments, estate and hotel investments etc, before his sudden death as was caused by Political Crisis.

His Wife Mrs Hojess revealed this to me in case she did not survive her Deadly cancer sickness. She instructed me to make an arrangement with a Foreigner who will help their children in receiving the money in a safe Account and assist in transferring of this fund for the betterment of her two children, Johnny and Mary. These two Children are now under my care and are worried to have the funds transferred and leave here as soon as the money is tranferred, the reason why they want the money transferred as you may asked is due to the instability of the country politically and the Children are afraid not to stay any longer here because of their parents greedy and envy Relatives who even want them dead in order to inherit all that their wealthy parents left for them.

I hope you now get the picture of the reason why they want their legacy Out here and secured, please if this letter touches you and you are Willing to guide this money for the two orphans with honesty and sincere heart and for the fact that they have decided to leave here to secure their life and future, please respond immediately, the mother before she died said to me that 15% of the total money will be mapped out for anyone Who will assist in this noble safety and if there be any money to be spent During the process of having the money transferred an additional 5% percent Will be added to the initial 15% making it all together 20% for you. I must be sincere to you that I am not after any percentage, you can take the 20% but all I need is your indication and willingness to be a Good Samaritan to these orphans and help them secure their inheritance.

I am now old and will be happy if through me and your effort these children will get their Inheritance safe in your care. I am sending this mail to you with faith that their present condition will touch you, Please Mail me back immediately so as to open a telephone communication to help facilitate the quick transfer of the money.

Thank you and May God bless you. Please respond back to me through my private email address(bainoo@yahoo.com)

Oh, and I really don't want anyone who thought this was a good idea governing our nation:

I dont vote. Dont care who wins cuz they suck either way. Rich Guys making decisions for the lesser people.

I DO know one thing- I'd DO her!!! :D

Why do I have this feeling she's dangerous in bed?? As in whips, chains, handcuffs, sharp objects....
