No, I don't know who it is. I never have any info about the XPOD. They are just random pictures posted with the intent of stimulating some banter.

Have a fine day, Threadites.

That's Grand-Papa Maurice! He wasn't much of a 'kid person'. When ever we'd come over, he liked to play a game of 'hit the boys and girls while wearing boxing gloves'. The gloves were well padded, so as long as we landed somewhere soft, we were ok

Where did you find a picture of him?

Oh, and Good Morning! I'll have the bangers and mash, please. With a tall glass of orange juice, and a coffee. I gave up beer in the morning a long time ago.

/me trudges dreary-eyed into the thread, munches on an onion bagel with a thick layer of cream cheese smeared across the halves, downs a shot of scalding hot Cuban coffee in one swift motion, while catching up on reading the hijinks and mayhem that has taken place over the course of her absence.

Sorry....I had a problem with my internet connection...I didn't see that the pic was part of your original post, Xerxes! But such a *cough* handsome fella..fyi, I think it's a pic of Vladimir Nabokov, who is probably best known for his novel "Lolita"...

Now that does look good...Thank you, Maggie. Lindal's crab omellete sounds much more appetizing than the poached eggwhites and 1/2 banana that I just had.

Tom Baker was very good too. I've been a big fan of all of them ever since the '60's.

Yum, Brennans. I'll be there, with you and Lindal. Maybe we can hit Cafe du Monde for beignets afterwards? NOLA is about excess :)

EDIT: Yea, I know Cafe du Monde is touristy. That's part of the point :D

Legendary. Famous family who owns other restaurants in New Orleans. One of the best places for fancy breakfasts in the city (other meals too). Creole/Cajun food (more Creole probably, being French). Anyone who is anyone probably has eaten there.

It is a famous resturant in New Orleans, famous for Eggs Benedict and luxury brunches.

If you watch the movie "Run Away Jury", Dustin Hoffman is talking to a guy in front of the court house. In the back ground is Brennans Rest. Also in the back ground is yours truly walking past in front of Brennans pink stucco.
