Yeah... poor Nemo's family. All his little brothers and sisters.

*sniff* I promised myself I wouldn't cry. Waaaaaaaah
I also cried for Albert Brooks. He didn't get paid shit to do his voiceover for that flick (His brother is a creative director at my Agency).

That is a travesty. Albert Brooks is very talented and deserves to be paid as such.

Another reason to shake an angry fist at Disney!

I forgot that my offer was $1500 and not $2000 like I posted later. So to be clear, the poster of reply #3000 only gets L$1500. Sorry, need to put the other L$500 towards gas. It's over $4 a gallon in L.A. now.

punkin! /me hugs Mac...here...have a cookie...

What IS it with all those Disney movies?? There is always one element of sheer terror or horror for the little ones (and big folks, too). I swear, I am still scarred by the death of Bambi's mom. I mean, I understand, when you're making a movie based on a fairy tale, and we all know how those went, but...Bambi's mom?????

I substitute IMG for URL. It only works some of the time. Other times it makes the whole link disappear.

In the land of oil wells and refineries (Louisiana) fuel for my car, is $3.61 per gallon. Diesel is $4.40 gallon because of the new sulfur restrictions. My diesel Bug gets 42 miles per gallon and runs rings around any hybrid for mileage and environmental impact.

In California where fuel runs closer to $5.00 per gallon. They don't allow drilling or refineries.

I have a long essay that explains the real reasons for high fuel prices in the USA. If any one is interested in the non-political truth. Send me a PM or contact me Inworld.

I'm with you, CX. Don't get me started on the NIMBYs and their closure of all the coal mines in western Washington.

CX... you know how for various reasons new drilling is discouraged- with out trying to rile up the environmentalists and the anti-environmentalists - but... China is about to start drilling off the coast of Cuba. Isn't that a comforting thought? We won't drill in the Florida straits for fear of disturbing the ecology - valid concern of course- it's the only planet we got...but hmm- I would rather trust our country to do the drilling with plenty of fail-safes then let China do it- y'all do recall the recent bunch of "Oops" coming out of that country right?

Just a little correction... I have yet to pay $4.00/gal in LA or Orange county. I know there are some cities, on the Westside of LA, where gas prices are up to $4.00, but I don't think it is the case in most of Southern California. Also, although it is difficult for new drilling, (especially off shore) to be approved, believe me, we have oil drilling and refineries.

We like to complain about high fuel prices, but as some of the posts in this thread have made clear, our friends in Europe have been paying much more than we do, and have been doing so for decades.
