I agree. There's just not enough meat on this topic right now.

I firmly believe that a thread, like the world, is what we make of it. Or some such platitude.

Wow, let's hope this guy never sees the deviant thread...holy smoke.

If you are serious I can drop an LM on you of a place that based their outfit (skin/clothing/etc.) on Sorayama's work. If I can remember. heh

Lexxi, I'd be grateful. I looked all over SLX and OnRez and in world for a sexy robot av and came up empty.

The real skery part is when we start pulling out literary an cultural reference far beyond our years. ;-)
Or quantum mechanics.

I have to admit, watching a certain child avatar present at Lummerland, there's some part of my brain that keeps saying "gee, that's really good for an almost-six-year-old."

Sly. ;)

That's almost devious. They could sound impressive with a child avatar saying the same things that might draw more critical questions with an adult avatar. I'd consider trying that if I could get up to the level that would seem smart for a six year old.

/me sets up a mirror

If you got problems with people running around in a certain avatar. Look into that mirror and figure out why.

If you are upset at what others might do... then be assured they can use the tools given to deal with them. (AR, Mute, Teleport, and others), especially considering all that are here are adults in rl

so what boots is it if they want to play at being a child again, a fuzzy sock monkey, a neko, or a purple and green fox?

Winter...really???? I am SO interested. Please let me know when you've got something to look at.

it's not EXACTLY the same.. it's not even really in the same spirit.. but it's cute. (and pretty small actually). When I started it, I was really going for a sort of "half-scale" avatar, something child-sized without being child-shaped. I was aiming for a sort of "Cute Anime Robot" look.

Still have the hair to do.

ban everyone
06-21-2008 04:19
Let's just ban everyone, and invent a Linden Standard Avatar completely and utterly identical iand non modifiable in every way and guaranteed 100% non offensive, not even different races allowed so that no one can object to anyone different. To avoid racial offence make everyone green. That should sort it out.

Also stops all that troublesome creative rubbish like skins, custom avs, and annoying artistic variety so that we residents can get on with our proper purpose and alloted task in SL - generating more MONEY and more SHARE Value for the eventual corporate sell- off.

When will you people realise your job is not to enjoy yourselves or reach new heights in creative freedom, its to make all the investors and owners of online businesses rich. So shut up about your 'right to be who you want to be' and be a good unit of productive earning capacity or we will ban you.

' Look the same, think the same, do the same ' is our motto here at BlandWorld Corporation ' Commerce is our Goal'

I am off to make a rebellious little AV of me.
