Aw, nuts. I've been looking high and low for a really cute robot av, something like this...

...and now you want to ban them?

I got something in the works... still need to finish the arms and eyes and hair.

My point was that they should be outraged by the Pete/Chesters of the world, not the kids who are hopping around minding their own business. But somehow, they direct their anger at the kids. It's like blaming the victim of a rape because she wore a short skirt or was alone after dark.

</snark on>
I think you are on to something, Trout. I think we should join the OP in solving this problem, and vote all NON-children avatars off the island! Nip ole Chester in his bud! (figuratively speaking....) There can't be Adult-child av pr0n if there aren't any Adult avs! Ha! Problem solved!

All of them except that one. :)

If we ban enough people we might solve the issue of trying to log in on a busy night.
LL just needs to come to us more often for solutions.

following your line of thought we better get rid of animal avs, beastiality ya know and get rid of human avs, rape ya know, Why give them that option?

We could all just be plywood cubes. Surely that's safe! :D

You are suggesting that John Smith should have his expression curtailed, and his emotional outlet taken away from him, because Pete Predator might see him and have bad thoughts.

Well said!

I think that's perfectly acceptable...

But seriously "Just ignore this thread and let it die" literally.

I'm with you. I'm ignoring this thread. We're the only sane ones here. Everyone else can't help themselves.

Still ignoring the thread.

hello everyone :) my two cents on child av's . i hear alot of ppl in the forums saying they have problems with them in one way or another. anyway. i think all child avatars should be gone from sl . why u may ask? first of all u have to be 18 to be in sl . and it just gives perverts a opertunity to put child av in sexual sittings . not saying everyone would . but all it takes is one and they are out there. i dont mind the tinys.. little creatures but the actual child av is just asking for some pervert to prey on. that is why i would vote to keep them out. u know with pornography and all....

Jesus- get a friggin life will you....even a SL one!!

Why is the most normal aspect of real life penalised........the Family unit??????
What is so wrong with the Family unit?
I guess BDSM, furries, GOR, Vamp sex are more acceptable practices to you?

I have 5 SL kids all grown up (adult AV's), 6 SL grandchildren (again adult AV's) and numerous great grandchildren all of whom are child AV's. We behave like a normal large family coming together and celebrating birthdays, births, engagements, christmas, fathers day, mothers day etc.......maybe as a group we're too normal for this platform!

I vote that the height sliders get capped at 25! Trust no one over 5'! It's all the taller's fault anywho! ;P

When they get that height from the ground, the blood can't get up to their brains! Just look at what happened to the T-Rexes!

I agree. There's just not enough meat on this topic right now.

I tink it needs more funny pictures of kids.

Threads like this remind me of why I firmly believe that not everyone is necessarily entitled to their own opinion.

I still believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just as everyone is entitled to critique that opinion as well. (^_^)y

If the OP finds SL Kids uncomfortable, then he has the choice to simply avoid them, and go somewhere else. Personally, I haven't had much interaction with Child AV's, but from what I've read here (particularly Marianne and Dakota), they talk a lot more sense and know a lot more stuff than most of us adults probably do!

People are only entitled to their opinions if they have put at least a tiny bit of thought into developing those opinions.

Half of me agrees. The other half thinks that opinion needs to be developed with a little more thought because it's based on the assumption that an opinion is capable of being incorrect. While opposing opinions may exist, each argument in each opinion is correct in and of the source it comes from. (^_^)y

Lol- yeah

I don't know how i initially got dragged into it all (Spring 2007 i think)......but now being head of a very large SL family has really enhance my SL life tenfold.

I love the way my SL kids are polite and respectful towards us parents...i get cold flushes when my daughters (& son) say "I love you daddy! " I enjoy playing with my great grandchildren (child Av's), or taking them to Kids Malls and buying them toys and stuff!
I can be a tough cookie when dealing with adult AV's within SL especially in business, but i do have a definite weakness around SL kid avatars because I simply adore them. They can twist me around their little fingers ....and i know it! :)

Although there are 4 tiers to our family tree, there are age differences between us all.
As parents were in our 40's, my kids are in their 30's, our grand kids tend to be late 20's to early 30's and our great grandkids are late teens to early 20's. So there is a definitive hierarchy as regards to ages and roles within the family. I'm also very fortunate that several of the family are talented content creators too!

Ironically enough, I've seen 'child avs' use correct grammar, spelling, and capital letters at the beginning of each sentence.

Well, people do have to use a function of their body to hear...

I know my daddy (a sore spot for me right now, cuz of him bein gone f'r other reasons) felt very much like a for reals daddy with alla us, even though he ain't never had RL kids of his own. An my mommy, well, she tends t'tell people IRL dat she has seven kids. We jes happen to be the three virtual ones. She's always proud of the stuff we do.

...and you shoulda read the note she wrote th' other day, "excusing" me from th' borin' place cuz of my hand being bad. :-)

All three of us kids are pretty good with prims an stuff. A lot of holiday/birthday/etc. gifts tend t'be homemade. Which seems about right. :-)

The real skery part is when we start pulling out literary an cultural reference far beyond our years. ;-)

If that were the case, the Internets would be a lonely place.
