Why does xstreet allow people to sell griefer weapons and tools???

When distorters are banned, only criminals will have distorters!

I make several "Attack" creatures that will attack and push/bump someone around for short distances if they come to close to the trigger device. The creatures are things like sharks, piranha, pirate ghost and a few monsters that don't exist in RL. They spawn blood in the water/air when they bump you and say things like "Shark rips a chunk of flesh out of ArchTX Edo". Most people find these creatures very amusing, they add a bit of realism and drama to the underwater environments and places where they are left. I have been selling them for years and have received no complaints.

I have seen creations by other people such as dogs that do something similar if set to guard the property. And a bee hive security system that will push you off the owners property with a swarm of attack bees.

Are these griefer items? I don't think so. They really do no one any harm unless the land is set to damage enabled, then they can kill. Which is legal I believe in SL.

Before I put the attack sharks on the market, I asked for peoples opinions about them and everyone who responded thought they were fine to make and use.

I guess I have played too many computer games in the past where monsters and villians were waiting around every corner to maim or destroy you. So I don't take this minor stuff to seriously in SL.

I would love to have something like a missile launcher on my house, or a trusty howitzer, that blasts you into orbit for a while. my current security orb is way too nice to people. just sending them home. Or Monty Python killer rabbits wandering my yard would be awesome.

Oh, I also joined the bandwagon of griefer economy.

I was always against promoting people to make, sell, use griefing tools.
But I certainly didn't want to pay for tools to prevent them.

I found, however a merchant that sells anti griefer tools only. Might be an alt, might be a slick way to bump the griefer economy, but, i have no choice after my neighbor, whom I trust told me about the so called spybugs, and the like.

So I build a control room in my house with all sorts of crap devoted to discovering and destroying any stuff related to griefers.

I don't want to have unknown idiots watching me, listening to me, and spying every move I make.

So an object radar, security orb and anti spy bug device working properly now, I fed the griefer economy lots of cash, but hopefully, to the good cause, namely the ones trying to help you fight it.

Also got a HUD with defensive things, such as a shield, and an area weapon that blasts away any object near me spraying out hundreds of Mario pictures or like that, while I try to build something.

I just want to enjoy second life in peace, which some people won't allow. So it's a game, so it's fake. Then why do some agree you just need to take this as granted, and be forced into their pestering game play? Of course I can AR anyone doing this. But they're always Alt newbie avatars with freebie griefer tools.

My computer being about 500 Watt/h will cost me 7.5 Euro cents to keep it running for an hour.

So if they pay you 2 Linden Dollar per 15 minutes, which is default, I will earn 6 Lindens per hour. 6 Linden dollar is roughly 0.005 US Dollarcents, and thus 0.0035 Euro cents.

Camping costs me more in electric bills than just buying them off the right top of my screen in just seconds. plus, I can use my time better than watching my avatar sit for days.

Okay you can cheat, use multiple clients, and bullshit the system, etc. etc. you should be banned for clogging up the grid.

I haven't seen it proven on the bugs yet. But griefers were send into orbit just nicely as they promised, including their rezzboxes, and sadly other stuff as well.

I still look for a targeted device, just sending stuff flying I want to be send flying.

Pretty poor griefers if they're not using non-physical vehicles.

All you have to do to be 100% immune to any orbiter is sit on a non-physical prim, and use non-physical prims in your attacks

Plus, they wander around, and never really stay put. Their mission is to annoy as much people as possible. It's what they do best, and probably they only thing they can do.

If only Linden Labs would ban these items. But that would hurt them financially. So they allow it.

anyway, I work a lot in a sandbox. And that's where they all are. non-script sims and non build sims are useless to griefers. But also useless to anyone trying to build something.

I'm not a fan of watching predators eat.. I can't watch snakes eat, for example, since they are very often fed small rodents. I know they have to, and that life is gruesome and violent.. but watching that Monitor lizard get the chick in the end... wasn't the most pleasant thing I ever saw.

you assume that all campers:
a. have the option to purchase $L. $25usd is nearly $40aud, two hours work for the typical aussie. i can only imagine how that translates for somebody in a third world country. thats assuming it is even possible for them to access their rl currency online at all, be that by credit card or online banking. it wasnt that long ago that australians were blocked out by paypal, trying to use a credit card from a 'high fraud risk' country can also be a challenge, so dont take it for granted that it is as easy for everyone else as it is for you.
b. use the simplified method of simple sitting one av in a chair using the official client. campers have been known to use special clients, logging in dozens of campbots from a single machine.
there are people that resort to camping not because they are too cheap to buy $L, but because that is simply their only option. i should know, ll make it damn near impossible for me to even pay my tier.

In some countries people get awful pay for work, but how are they going to pay their electrical bills then? because if you are so poor and so fucked by your government you would go camp in second life because it actually pays more, you probably wouldn't have money for a computer or money to keep it running.

Anyway, yesterday I was at some gadget shop, and the sim was lagging as hell.
In the middle of the sim was a pillar that pays camp fees if you are in their group and within the radius of the pillar.

There were at least 30 avatars standing there making a lousy amount of money.
I was the only one there not camping, and the stores were all lagging.

So they have high traffic, but no customers because it was lagging way too much.
If Linden Labs would cancel traffic score in the search, we will see campers disappear very quickly. They clog the system, and are not good for traffic at all. The only traffic they have are campers.

So I tend to avoid high traffic shops, because it doesn't say anything about the quality of the items. It only indicates the amount of greedy campers.
