How do I make my blood poisonous, so that if a vampire bites me, they lose ALL their accumulated blood points and have to start over?

Biting sprites really should have consequences.

In World of Darkness, vamps could get intoxicated on whatever drugs were in their victim's bloodstream. So you could get loaded feeding on a drunk, and high from a stoner. Enough junk in someone's veins could make a vamp really ill.

Zerock - everyone told you in the other thread that there was no possible way that there could be any negative effect on your wife or you from this nonsense. It was rude and disrespectful for the person who was pretending to be a vampire to bite your wife, or for it to happen to you when you were new, but it didn't hurt either of you one bit.

Your avatar doesn't have a soul
The pretend vampires do not have access to your inventory, nor can they empty yor Linden balance.
RP = Role Play. That's all. It isn't real.
Nobody assaulted you or your wife. You both accepted a request to animate your avatar. You might have been tricked into it, but nevertheless, you accepted it. It's not like you were orbitted, caged, set on fire, deformed or otherwise griefed.

I think you might be overreacting just a bit. There doesn't appear to be any damage here.

As usual, totally Naive.

*sighs* And I don't have a soul for them to steal since I sold mine to buy that cool beach-front property with lots of prims. =D

Rhiannon, can I get the location of the Agent for that please? I have a spare soul that isn't doing much at the moment, and I need more prims.

Anyone who is in TE, what enjoyment do you gain from it? (And I'm asking seriously.)

I'm in TE. I didn't think I'd like it, but I was surprised to find that I did. There is the social aspect - I've met more people that I enjoy spending time with, at a time when I really needed to meet people and interact. Then, there's the aspect of climbing the ladder. I want to be a princess :)

It's not for everyone...just like bloodlines isn't.

I am officially starting my Weretrout Roleplay.

When you all weren't looking, I have, under the light of the full moon, assumed the shape of a trout and bitten you, thus infecting you FOREVER with the Curse of the WereTrout. When the moon is full, you wil jump into the nearest stream and eat bugs and small baitfish. You will stalk the nights searching for the riffles and rapids, and you will hide in the placid backeddies, waiting to terrorize innocent fishermen.

The following people are infected:

Desmond Shang
Imnotgoing Sideways
Brenda Connolly
Kelli May
Littleme Jewell
Pres. George W. Bush
That hot blonde from Heroes.
Lindal Kidd
Burt Reynolds
Sir Edmund Hillary (zombie Weretrout)

And a bunch of other people. But not the OP. I don't want to have to face assault charges.

Oh - and for 250 Lindens, I'll cure you.

ROFLMAO *her little pearly white fangs flashing as she laughs* Thank you Trout...you have uplifted my Friday.

Didn't we have this same huge discussion when Tiny Empires came out? EVERYONE was playing and trying to get subjects....didn't care who or what they were? Bloodlines is the same way just done differently. TE has created of bunch of offshoot stuff and from what I can tell uber drama with ppl. You only get drama if you allow yourself to be part of the drama.

As far as sullying someone's AV...only sullied if you allow yourself to think that.
Remember the Regan era....JUST SAY NO OP...SL is about saying NO. Crap, the way things are going people will start legislating laws in SL just like RL cause people can't /won't say no....they need protecting from themselves.....soon there will be no freedoms any more.

JUST SAY NO

Happy Friday all.

In World of Darkness, drinking the blood of a psychic type means that for a period of time, you wind up with their powers.. which really SUCKS if you feed off a pyrokinetic. Or a telekinetic while in a lumber yard...

In WoD, there are consequences for feeding carelessly. :)

No, I like the other thread better. There, it's the fact that they are spamming people with bite invites. Which is pretty damned annoying when you're shopping, because you could accidentally decline the item you're buying.

And OP, the problem with the deceitful friend.. err, ex-friend is a valid point. This person meant to be deceitful and that does hurt feelings. Fair enough to take issue with that. The first bit of RP might have been forced upon you unwittingly, but the fact that you chose thereafter to join in their little game was entirely your decision.

The reality is that there is nothing that was actually done to your avatar/account. Nada. Anything about turning it 'normal' again is entirely RP and not the reality of the situation. IF you believe otherwise, you might want to rethink SL as a platform for you. Sounds harsh, I know.. but this is a speech I have given a few people over the years as a goddess of a MU* environment.

You're way behind here, Tegg...Cheree already made a snazzy Vampire Killer HUG that will do that. Errr, doesn't have the holy water, but I'm sure that's in the works ;)

Still waiting on any commentary on what makes Tiny Empires so interesting to some people. :)

EDIT TO ADD: Disregard please. Posted this before I saw HoneyBear and Morgaine's posts. From the little I saw before deleting the group of the particular TE "Kingdom" I was in, it did seem to have its fair share of drama.

Our HUD basically gathers dust now except for the occasional time my partner and I ask each other, "So how much property/coin do you have now?"

Reminds me of the vampire spoof movie from years ago (but still a fun movie) "Love at First Bite" with George Hamilton playing Dracula, Richard Benjamin playing Van Helsings great-great-great, etc. grandson, Arte Johnson as Renfield and Susan Saint James as the Dracula's "love interest."

In one part of the movie, Dracula/Hamilton bit a wino and wound up the next day with a hangover.

Vampires - bah! Bite and feed all you want, servants of Hastur....my soul you shall never have, for it already resides in the menagerie of Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos, avatar of Azatoth - thence it shall reside forever, even until the ressurection of the Great Old Ones, who have no souls to steal, and whose blood is naught but poison to all who call themselves "vampire"! Ia, Azatoth! Ia, Yog Sothoth - the Lurker at the Threshold!

It must still bother a lot of people, I mean Bloodlines is banned in at least half the clubs I go to, you go to thier store and there is a line up of people screaming at the Store Sales people.

It isnt all light fluffy harmless role play to everyone it seems.

For most it seems it isnt getting "Bit" or "losing your soul" in the game that bothers them, its the fact they then list your SL name on thier web site even though you are not playing thier game. and anyone who is playing the game can click on you and see if you have been biten before or not.

Also there is no warning that accompanies the Bite request to the fact "if you accept this bite you will lose your soul in the Bloodlines game" it just says "so and so wants to animate your avitar" .. if later on the person wanted to join Bloodlines they would find they had already "lost" before they even started playing (unless you buy a 199L potion to restore yourself)

They should hand you a notecard explaining what happens, at the very least that you have to go to the site to have your name removed.

Hmmm, brings back memories of the SheepBot caper, and how peoples' indignance over being indexed without their consent was pretty much dismissed in certain quarters. I wonder if those nay sayes would be as content to have their names up on the Bloodline Site without knowledge or consent, or not knowing how to "Opt Out".

A few months ago I was offered a bite request only seconds after logging on. It took me off guard as I had just logged on but I went ahead and accepted it as the offering vampire was nice enough to ask. Since then I have not seen nor heard from another vampire and I've noticed no effects at all...but there is that annoying problem of not being able to see my reflection in my SL mirror.

Thats because other bloodline players (please dont call them Vampires or even Role players, they are neither) can click on you and their Hud tells them that you have already been biten.. your "damaged goods" to them now.
