How to prove to someone you are not someone else on SL?

I got mistaken for someone else. Someone thinks I play with another account and I have no way to prove to him I am not. I do have an alt which I have stopped using and he knows about it. The person got mistaken for me is nice enough and tried prove to him but still wouldn't help.

How can I clear myself?

You don't. If he doesn't believe you, there's nothing you can really do about it.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

That's a difficult one. Have you tried appearing at the same time with the person for whom you've been mistaken? Alternatively, you could simply let this person believe what he or she wants to believe.

Is there a particular reason you *need* to prove you aren't this other identity he thinks you are? I'm just guessing, but if this person is in a relationship with you and doesn't trust you--DTMFA. (Dump the mother*** already) There is no legit business reason you should have to do this either.

One person I knew in a similar situation gave her sign-in credentials to her boyfriend--who then signed in as her and spied on all her friends and said some pretty nasty things while he did this.

That doesn't prove anything, anyone can run more than one client on their PC.

I haven't try appearing at the same time with this person but I found her online at the same time, I copy the IM of us and sent to him. This girl also invited him to her island (she has an island which I can never afford ) and showed him around. I hope I can invite her to our place next time when I see her online. But as Hiro said, he might think I am running more than one client on my pc (though I don't think my pc can handle)

I'd say that if the person doesn't believe you, or the person they are mistaking you for, I they aren't worth the troubleof furthr convincing.

I can't do that. I am so attach to him.

I gave him the passwords of both my accounts long ago, just to prove to him I have nothing to hide from him and he still wouldn't believe me v_v

But he will never do things like your friend's bf did. He's not that kind of person.

That is fairly easy since the other person is willing to help

All 3 of you can go to some voice enabled land and speak together.

And he loves you so much, he's basically accusing you of being a liar for no justified reason.

And once you and some poor 3rd person has proved that you are 2 different people.. what will be the next thing he does not believe you on?

I would wave bye bye... I know that seems harsh.. but he is being quite naughty making such demands....oh and PLEASE change your passwords.

Don't need to. I merely have any friend on this account. I log on SL only for him and hardly accept friend requests. There really isn't any friends of mine he can spy on and say nasty thing to, and he simply won't do this.

Do you sign into his account to? does he let you?

I know you really like him and its easy for us to say all this... but honey no man is worth all this in SL!

Well if he doesn't trust your word, and doesn't trust someone that is also speaking in your favor, that is not a good foundation for a relationship. It will only get worse.

Yeah, if she doesn't know how to do that, she could try this:

C:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" -multiple

:p

Agreed. If the other party won't give up their opinion, they're basically calling you a liar so it's probably time to end the friendship.

Yes! And never, never do that again!

Sounds like the kind of situation I personally wouldn't want to be involved in. *hint*

AWWWWW.....But your right :) Yep, if he doesn't trust her now...he's never going to. I always think SL's no place for people of suspicious natures. Its too easy to make up what you don't know.
