As for Harrasement, I find most percieved infractions are just cases of poor comunication with people who speak different languages. I have found very very little persistant harrasment in SL, even amoungst deviant sexual practices groups the guys are gentlemen and the girls ladies and are well behaved... untill they get to know you.....

This thread does provide a certain degree of entertainment value, if nothing else.
I suppose it'd be easier to do a survey on the harassment of female av's if you actually knew which ones are female.

But let's not sit in judgement of apparent imbeciles or their motives.
The question seems to pertain to the avatars, not the RL folks behind them.
Could it be that he's talking about RP situations? The oddities that play out rape fantasies surely enjoy a bit of harassment, perhaps as a sort of bizarre foreplay. Maybe he's looking for someone to harrass him and needs a list of places to find such things? Or maybe he's looking for info on how to properly harrass someone before they hit the mute button.

Or, in some uninformed but well-intentioned feminist crusade, he/she is gathering information before shouting at people about us helpless, innocent, mute-buttonless womyn.

The possibilities are endless.

I'm not so sure about that. I'm beginning to think I'm going to have to pay someone to do it. Just passively allowing it doesn't seem to work for me.

Definition of offensive: Causing anger, displeasure, resentment, or affront

To me, the majority of "harassment" and "offensive remarks" are all in perception. People need to toughen up and stop being so damn touchy - change their attitudes a bit.

In RL, if they touched me without consent or demanded sex for something or continued with really really bad comments after being told to stop, then I would view it as harassment - otherwise, it is usually just some asshole being a jerk. I don't think too much of that can really happen in SL - I have too much control over what happens to me here.

Sorry, but I think that too much of the world is getting the attitude that they have the right to never be offended by anything.

If some guy comes on to me, I simply take it as a compliment. Geez, wish it happened more often.
