Oh. nvm ![]() See? This is why should never open my mouth in a discussion about scripts. I mean, I make a fool of myself regularly, and learn something valuable every time. Almost every time. ![]() _____________________

It's still a movie about giant cereal box toys that make Bubblegum Crisis and Evangelion look like hard science. I prescribe "Diaspora" by Greg Egan, "Sailing Bright Eternity" by Greg Bear, and "Heaven's Reach" by David Brin. Heh! Name a movie today with no tie-ins to products I love playing the "Spot the promotion" with movies. _____________________

You have fun with that when it's a script that takes controls. Been here since 2005. Havent had a problem yet With a Throw-away account it doesnt mean anything. It has no L$, no land, no ties to a Main account. My favorite was the Animated Buffalo I toyed with. It made one of the toss-away Alts "do the nasty" with it while shouting something. _____________________

Transformers isn't a movie with product tie-ins. It's a product with movie tie-ins. So was X-Men, Hulk, etc. Welcome to Capitalism at its finest! How many idiots do you see driving around with the souped-up Nissans & Honda's cuz they got a boner watching the Fast & Furious movies? The movie sells a product or the product sells a movie. Notice what phone was used in Transformers? Everyone had an LG phone. Read a good book, blow your mind: explosions in your head are much more impressive than the ones on the screen. Just finished one. Plato's "Republic". Explosions in your mind are fine, but add sight & sound to it, its much better. Its like reading about riding a roller coaster. Explosions are even more fun when you can make 'em in your back yard ![]() Just so folks know- I guess they're remaking the cult classic "The Warriors". Not sure how that will turn out. _____________________

So was X-Men, Hulk, etc. As for Plato, after seeing his hatchet job on Socrates, I'll give his stuff a miss. Explosions in your mind are fine, but add sight & sound to it, its much better. _____________________
