From: Blue Frequency Thanks! You are welcome but it is something that is hard to put a price on especially as each year going by current things the account is actually worth 389USD in benefits, Tier and Stipend, now I know LL said with charter membership that was for life as I would have had one if the Military hadn't shipped me off then, but I think many are disheartened with the direction that LL seem to be taking so feel that perhaps that LL will change the rules and that will affect everyone, Charter members included. However unless LL seLL SL, which realisticly I personally do not think they will for some time yet, the price I gave would be good value after the first 18 months or so it would be realising a profit, and I was taking into account the initial purchase price

From: LittleMe Jewell Nice to see those figures. I had just tossed out a figure of roughly $500 or more if I had been asked a year ago. I guess I wasn't too far off the mark. I think you were not far off atall as Blue asked about the value and of course we all value things differently If its legit and I have no reason to think its not then the figures I gave would be a fair value in my personal opinion

Honestly I would not recommend the purchase of this account if you want to masquerade as someone else. Whoever buys this should focus on the land value.

And I really really wish I had enough faith in LL to still value it like that. I get more sad than frustrated when I think of where SL may be in a year, compared to where it could be if the creativity were not only allowed to continue freely, but actually encouraged and supported by policy.

From: LittleMe Jewell Of course it is, but we are an inquisitive bunch, so sometimes we just cannot help but wonder. Think of the account as a legacy item. It's current owner will not be able to use it much longer and wishes to pass it on. There is no interest in revealing the identity of the seller to the general public.

Ignoring for a moment all of the red flags and alarms going off in my head, let me turn the question around: How much would YOU pay for a charter account if one was offered to you and you were allowed to name your own price?

Just wondering what if any restrictions LL has slipped in on these accounts that could surprise a buyer.
Can the 4096 be donated to group land or must it be held by the account personally?
Are there any restrictions about owning Zindra land for Charter Accounts?
I don't have a clue about charter accounts, but the way LL works these days it would sure suck to pay for something like this and turn around and find out that LL has restricted the benefits of the account to the point where it's a waste of money.

From: Blue Frequency The value of that tier is $25 per month I think. So you would only pay the equivalent of 4 months for something that is usable forever? SL wont be around forever.. I doubt it has 3 years of life left. And with the content creation rules that will be coming into effect and the Stoker lawsuit.. ya $100 is the top limit I would go.

There are no restrictions on a charter account. It cannot be used on estate land though because the Charter agreement is between the account holder and LL.

If your assumption that SL will end in 3 years is correct then the account would be worth around $560. I will offer that when LL sold the Charter accounts most people thought it probable that SL would not last 2 more years. It was somewhat of a risky investment at the time. I personally believe LL will continue to surprise people with their longevity.

From: Blue Frequency I will offer that when LL sold the Charter accounts most people thought it probable that SL would not last 2 more years. It was somewhat of a risky investment at the time. The uncertainty back then was due to SL being new and unproven. The uncertainty now is due to LL themselves and the string of really annoying moves they've pulled. Personally, I'm unhappy with the number of times I've wondered if the Linden I'm listening to is just outright lying or if they're really *that* out of touch with reality. I don't think I'm alone in this. From: Blue Frequency I personally believe LL will continue to surprise people with their longevity. /me hopes so.

What does "can not be used on estate land" mean? It can't own an estate or it can't teleport to an estate? Any other agreements that would impact it's use?

From: Blue Frequency You could still be you but you would be able to take advantage of the accounts land value. I could keep the name Rhonda Huntress? Cool. I'll give you ... ummm 50 bucks. The 4K mainland is nothing I need but I could donate it it to Forum Cartel.

From: Patasha Marikh What does "can not be used on estate land" mean? It can't own an estate or it can't teleport to an estate?? The free tier only works on mainland land.. It doesn't count against any non-mainland fees.
