Low Prim Furniture is a travesty

People who make low prim furniture disgust me. It's just an absolute disgrace that they've been getting away with it for so long. I hate them.

When will LL ban low prim furniture once and for all?

I can understand your disgust but it's due to we low prim furniture makers getting a large slice of the profits that are to be made in SL, which necessarily means smaller slices for other people such as yourself. Greed, greed, greed - that's all it is for some people - mentioning no names, of course

Les prims means a cheap product, it will fall apart in a few years.
A real chair is made using physical double wedge locked prims like how they did before nails were available, not this cheap fang-dangled non-physical glue

as a buyer...Im sorry to disagree...but low prim...is my holy grail...i dont care if its shoddily made...glued, cat gut used whatever...just save me prims...

Of course..I shall forget I said this when one of my "prim saving,foam cushion filled-made with cardboard" sofa's catches fire and kills serveral residents..Ill be suing the pants off whoever made the item...

Purleeze. I'll have you know that some low prim funiture, such as mine, is made from well-seasoned wood prims and not from new wood prims that will twist and bend over time.

Well let me tell you this! I bought some low-prim furniture from that Mr Deakins's shop, and so much for 'well-seasoned'! I'd only had it in my home for ten minutes before hundreds of little primworms came crawling out and decimated ALL of my furniture! I tried to contact the maker, but he just told me to "tell it to the bots 'cause the human ain't listenin'"!

I ask you, is that any way to conduct a business?

I heard it rumored that Mr Deakins allowed his staff to have sexies on his prim beds with the customers at anytime, more a knocking shop than a furniture store methinks

It's not how many prims, it's whether the prims are "fair trade". My own products only use handcrafted prims, even my sculpties are all generated from custom scripts I wrote myself... I have no bots toilling in dark prim mines.

There's a builders challenge though: make a seat from seperate physical objects that doesn't fall apart when sat upon, so indeed, have the physics engine hold the thing together instead of turning it all into 1 linked object.

Gimme a sculpty over a bunch of prims anyday! Laggarammadingdong!!

But more seriously, sculpt doesn't always equal low prim, nor does it always equal quality. It really depends on the builder to see what comes out of their use/abuse/disuse.

Does anyone know which third-party viewers automatically un-render low-prim furniture?

I get all my low prim furniture from that Swedish place - the one that has the 99 cent breakfast and the meatballs in the cafeteria - and so far no problems. The only part I can't stand is when I lose that funky wrench they put in the package, especially when I'm half way through assembling it. What a mess.

Apart from the one prim barstools and the 25-30% cube cuts, there aren't many realistic one prim furniture thingies. Makes one wonder if it's possible to fashion a seat mostly out of particles

I pride myself on being a terrible designer and using far too many prims. Sometimes I just add invisible prims to an item for the hell of it so I don't get tarnished with that awful "low prim" brush. I think if I sold low prim items i'd just quit SL right now (not before sending all L$ and all items, full perm to Porky Gorky)

Rep Mark Kirk has said that if LL won't police the furniture makers of SL, he will.

I think Fox News is doing a special on children being able to get into SL and buy low prim furniture. Phil, you better check your store for FBI agents posing as kid av's browsing your wares.
