Are Big Lips a bad thing????

Someone told me the other day, that I had "fat lips", like it was a design flaw. In other words, they didnt say it was attractive. Ever since then, I've been looking at everyone's lips, funny how that happens. Im just wondering, are big lips unattractive? I mean, here's a pic of me, it's a little old, but still the same me. Geez, how can I be self conscious is SL?

I find that almost every skin ad I see shows a face with lips that look way too fat for my tastes.

Yummy, I use to work in Beverly Hills and have seen lots of really bad collagen injections. You should see some of the celebs up close. Yuck!

To me your av looks great. I love it when someone has a feature that is attractive yet doesn't make them look like all the other clones out there.

I think you have a very pretty avie; don't worry about others judging your appearance, in SL or in RL.

Your AV is beautiful and you're the one who will be looking at her the most. Create her to suit yourself.

My AV also has larger lips and I've also had people tell me I should make them smaller (all were women). But I don't want her to look like all the others. And I don't mind her having a "flaw". To me, her mouth is softer and it's honestly my favorite feature on her. It really shows on her profile picture, which I can't access right now.

This works because you got the proportions right. If the mouth was wider or narrower, it would look weird. Your face is perfectly set up for this kind of mouth. In RL it might look a bit exaggerated, but SL isn't RL. Isn't that the point?

Though I'm not a big fan of the puffy lip look for my own av, they look fine on yours, Yummy. No worries.

It seems that alot of the skin makers also favor this look. I've had to turn away from several nice skins because of the lip features, as mine are thinner and wider than most I see. I've only found one skin maker so far that has a lip design that suits my proportions.

the picture you showed is considered attractive where those men come from. i dunno if that was your point or if you were saying at least your lips werent like that. i just know when i see that picture it reaffirms my belief that beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I do not mind full lips but there are some that are overdone, not sure what look they are going for

yours (to me) are a little overdone

what counts is that you like it

another thing I notice on avatars is huge eyes, what is with these huge and I mean HUGE eyes LOL

Depends who has them and how they use them.

It's not, you have a nice av or you have a sexy av. It's you look very nice and /or you're very sexy. You're talking about second life, right? Then say it right.

Same thing in sl itself. You have a sexy av or your av is so and so which I respond thanks but this is me. It just doesn't sound right saying it in a third person view. This is who you are in sl and when discussing it here or there you're usually talking about yourself there, the character you are, who you represent and not you the person in rl.

Someone said the same thing to me. In RL I have very thin lips, so in SL, naturally, I select to have maybe a bit larger than most people normally do.

When people mention it to me, I just ignore it. It's my Second Life and I look how I want ;p

As someone else said, perfect proportions. Also, they work great with the skin, which is done in great detail. The skin-mouth is extremely pretty (in fact, where is that skin from, lol?). If someone were to go for a lifelike avi, it would be a bit over the top, but inside the comic world, it's perfect.

I'd know that skin anywhere.... Naughty, Zoe Gold with the copper lipstick/smoky eyes. It is one of my favorites.

Yes, it is naughty's Zoe gold, as I said it's an older pic, Im now wearing Abyss skins but still have the big pillow lips..lol..and yes, I did make Yummy to please me, ooo, that didnt sound right! Ok, I made her the way I like her..but you gotta say, if someone came up and said, Hey Joe/Jill, looking great, put on a little weight? Umm..you kinda start looking at yourself a little different..maybe turning around in the mirror a little more?

Found a newer pic with the Abyss skin, the lips arent quite as prominent.
