In vBulletin an administrator can change a post (even a thread starter) to show a different poster, or none at all. Perhaps Rha should request this is done. It would solve the problem without destroying the thread. Also as far as performance issues go. The thread has no more impact on performance then a normal thread. The database only needs to be queried when viewing a page, and then, only the entries relevant to the particular page are requested. I hesitate to request this for 2 reason 1 I highly doubt they would and 2 If I did request it, chances are they would just close the thread and put at OP's request it has been closed, and I do not want to do that. _____________________

We could just start a new thread if it really bothered you Rha. The old one would still be there for archival purposes. I don't think it's really the thread that matters,just the people who post on it. _____________________

Maybe you should re-read your own comments,because you are speaking out of both sides of your..mouth. In one breath you say you want the ignore thread to stay,the next you are insulting the participants of that thread,agreeing that Rha should request it closed,then go on to say the thread is causing forum slowdown and whatever else you can think of to blame on the thread and it's participants. If you are not surprised, why would you have to ask why they bother me? Who cares why they bother me? You post them,I ignore them. Life goes on. actually I did not see her agreeing that I should close it down, hell even I did not say I should close it down. I said (and this is what jig appeared to be agreeing with) is if (IF) I were to request it closed, I would quickly becomes hated and get more hate mail than I do not. Ah, I guess the following quote is where you get the idea I want it closed. (not quite, I have nothing against the thread or the posters in it, my reason for feeling it would be better for me to have it closed is described below, and has nothing to do with the thread content or those who use it) I guess what I should have said is, I would like to see those who send me hate mail about that thread, stop sending me hate mail, and if it took the closure of the thread, then so be it. personally I would like to see it closed.
