and some folks have very poor taste and love to screw with another person as much as they can

I don't let it bother me anymore, and if someone does something I disagree with I will speak my mind

speaking my mind, doesn't imply that it "got to me"

depends on how you roll.

edit: when one airs their dirty laundry disguised as something else, knowing full well it will not only be seen but is a provacation for a response from intended viewer, it's naive to not expect to be called out on it.
And, since you were not the "intended viewer" and the "intended viewer" didn't say it, you just had to make sure it was said, huh? It was totally unnecessary.

Incidentally, as I read it, there was no "intended viewer". To me, it read like a genuine question.

There was, but they wisely let it go.

I can understand you thinking that, but I believe it's just a assumption.

Yes, you recognised it, but that doesn't mean that the original post was intended for someone's eyes - or to put it as 3ring wrongly put it, airing dirty laundry in public. There was no dirty laundry posted.

it was ALL dirty laundry. the whole original posting was personal and did not need to be disclosed.

and, you don't really know what someone else's intentions are, do you Phil?

and the intended viewer saw and replied, but did not allow themself to be engaged further.

and just like the OP stated:
From: someone
if someone does something I disagree with I will speak my mind

i am simply doing the same. i disagree with the 'whole story behind the question' because the question could have totally been asked without all the history. THAT was unnecessary, but predictable.

I asked a freaking question and everyone thinks I wanted to start drama, if I wanted to start drama I would do like some others do and spam groups and other stupid stuff

I came here and put the info I did because I had second thoughts about what I did and if it was worth an AR

As far as I know, in my almost 3 years on SL, I have never been AR;d, I know I have never been threatened with one.

so, therefor I wanted to make sure what I thought was correct, was correct

and in this case the info needed to be there, because how can folks answer a question if they do not know the details about the question

think whatever you want, think I did it to piss someone off or whatever.. doesn't matter to me

what does matter to me though, is that no matter what I post, someone always has to mess with it, and that someone knows who they are

thank you to those that accepted the question for what it was and answered honestly, without letting your personal feelings get involved, I appreciate that, and I am sure those who are reading do too

some folks just can not mind their own business

the only reason the names came up is because E decided to put them out there, and do you see her going on about it? nope, she had her say and that was that

dunno why others can not do the same thing...

*shakes head and walks away*

you are nothing more than a stalker, every thread I tend to be in, you have to come along with your big nose in it, and then copy and quote posts I respectfully asked not to be copied, THAT speaks volumes... for some reason you hate me and have made it your goal on these forums to make it a living hell for me...

whatever...

you made it all our business when you posted in on the public internets.... and even asked us our opinion.

next time ask the question in 10 words or less and leave out the personal issues if you just want to know if something is ARable. that could have easily been accomplished had it been your goal.

There was no dirty laundry. What was posted was that there was a personal issue with someone. Nothing was said about who the someone was, and we still don't know any details about what the issue was (and we don't want to know). There was no dirty laundry.

That's true. Let me repeat it for you. *YOU* don't really know....

As you said, *YOU* don't really know whether or not there was an intended viewer. You don't know.

You can disagree all you like, but it's nothing to do with you, and you have no reason to disagree other than your own personal preferences. You said something that was totally uncalled for and totally unnecessary. If you really felt a need to say it, a private means would have been suitable. It was nothing to do with the topic of the thread. It was just you having a pop, and there is no excuse for it.

There was no personal stuff in the post. Read it again! Our opinions were asked about something specific. What you wrote was nothing to do with what was asked. You have no excuse.

give up phil

she thinks it is ok, because I am psycho (according to her, which personally I don;t care what she thinks, it means squat to me)

and the more she posts her crap against me the more stupid she looks, I think I will just sit back and watch the show, well that is after I watch some TV

this gets boring after awhile :)

Thanks for for trying to point out the obvious, however some folks just do not give a damn about the obvious when they intentionally do things that they do because they WANT to hurt another

why else would she do what she does?

(I saw no one else taking the shots she did and no one else quoting a post I made elsewhere on here, that I respectfully asked to not be copied)

however... I don't care... I HOPED she would at least have a shred of humanity in her (if indeed it is a her), but I prepared myself for what I figured would happen

so, what I typed and she quoted, I knew had the possibility of being quoted even though I asked people not to...

words actually fail me for how I feel for her... closest I can come to is... pity... pity because she must feel so badly about herself, that in order to feel better she picks someone on the internet to vent it onto...

I feel bad for people like that, what a sad life indeed it must be

it was all personal, and what was asked was BASED ON the personal story behind it, otherwise there would have been no need to post all that.

keep 'em coming.

Back to the original question.

I have had occasion to rent maybe 100 stalls in various places. I have had items returned "out of the blue" on maybe 3 occasions. Every time there was such an event there was some emotional issue involved. Things like couples breaking up and one of them returning all the vendor items to make life miserable for the "ex" type of thing. No matter how contrite and remorseful of an explanation I receive about why it happened, I don't rent there again. The last I want for a business are emotional sideshows.

I have to say the way the items were returned was poorly handled. Also it doesn't matter if they were on "free time" once you give them "free time" it's like any other gift, it's their time now, not yours unless you specified to them that the free time was subject to being revoked. Nor does it matter that it was 'only' fifteen prims. The matter is that the landlord ejected the tenant with no notice during a valid rental period. An advance warning would be proper and professional.

To those who say "your land, your rules" that mentality will lead to a lot of empty stalls in a mall when people realize that the rules change as your mood changes.

Overall, not something LL would give a second look at on an AR, but something that could create for you a reputation as a poor choice for people to do business with.

well being that it is not a mall, nor will there be stores to rent once the remaining ones are emptied, pretty much nullifies the mall comment and renting there again

thank you for your input, appreciate it

it was all personal, and what was asked was BASED ON the personal story behind it, otherwise there would have been no need to post all that.
None of it was personal. Let's see one or more quotes to back up your claim. And what it was "based" on has nothing to do with it. Every post is based on something, but if the poster doesn't provide details, then they are not a part of the discussion. We still don't know any details about it, so nothing was aired. Not only that, but you didn't even address what it was based on, or anything personal behind it. What you wrote wasn't anything to do with either of those. It was just a nasty pop. You can fool yourelf until the cows come home, but .... actually, I don't believe you can fool yourself at all. You know very well that what you wrote was nothing but a pop at someone, and didn't belong here. You have no excuse for it.

From: 3Ring Binder
i don't need an excuse. i wrote my opinion, as you are doing now. what's your excuse?
You wrote your opinion about something that was nothing to do with this thread, and you wrote it for the pure pleasure of having a pop. There is no excuse for that.

And if that nasty post wasn't enough for you, you then went to another thread and found a post of Rha's that we were all specifically asked not to quote for a very specific reason. What did you do - you quoted it all - including the part that asks us all not to quote it. Other people read the post and commented on it, but you are the only one who did what the post specifically asked everyone not to do. That was a nasty thing to do and you should be ashamed of yourself. If you hadn't understood the request not to quote it then you would have an excuse, and you should have removed the quote, but it was pointed out that it shouldn't have been quoted and you've done nothing about it. I'll correct that. You did do something about - you just laughed.

Oh well.

I have seen this type of thing before. One person posts a message and without fail another particular individual will come and say something not so nice about the poster and/or the issue. It is harassment, and it is personal when it happens continuously.

I cannot tell you how much it sucks to be scared to post a message for fear that one or two specific people are going to come to your thread, say something ugly, and turn the topic into a fight about you. I was banned from the place where that happened to me weekly, and I have never been happier.

I really do not have much to say without making this personal and I try to avoid that the best i can.

But please stop harassing Rhaorth, it's hurtful and just down right mean and show's a side of you that i think most people would not have a problem labeling as negative.

We can all have opinions on an issue without making personal attacks. It just gets tiresome when it is always 1 person having the issue and making the attacks. It makes the forums in general look bad and yourself in return.

Nothing against Rha, but if you don't want something quoted, don't post it. Pretty simple. No one should expect special treatment of their posts for any reason. If it is posted, it is fair game for all comments and quotes.
