You've been in SL too long when....

This one may have been said, but you've been in SL too long when you start hearing the IM chime when you are walking down the street.

once while i was still working at McD's and still fairly new to SL, I was really tired and worked too much and i tried to give my boss a negative rating

lmao!! There are definitely days when I wished I could rate people in RL... Well, in SL too now..

.. and further realise that it's because of SecondLife you need a new skin!

You say to your GF - Hmmm nice prims

You HAVE NOT been in SL too long when you don't know that the join date listed on the forums is the date that you joined the forums and not the date that you put payment info on file

when you bring your digital camera over to your friend's house to take pictures of their 'textures'

You know you've been in SL too long when you look at a real building and say "that looks like something in SL!"

You also know you've been in SL too long when you brace yourself when going across county lines because you expect your car to briefly sink into the ground!

Been in SL too long when:

Your significant other patiently listens as you excitedly describe an event, conversation, or something beautiful you've seen, and then asks dryly, "Was this in SL or RL Hon?"

Wishing I could file an AR on our noisy neighbors.

*I also have the dreams - I often will work out an SL problem, like remodeling my shop, while I sleep in RL. I wake up and know just what to do!

One morning, while I was deciding what to wear that day, I was actually mentally going through my SL inventory of panties before I caught myself and said "duh".

When you go shoppin, to the doctor, work or ANYWHERE...and accidentally say "Lawl", "brb", "GF", "BF" or any of our other millions of ...what are they acronyms?

Anyway I did the "Lawl" thing at a family function. Wasn't too funny. (To me.)

You're typing an email and hit the return key to send it.

You think about muting your teenage child's profile when they are being difficult.

You are deciding what to wear in RL and have a vague feelng there are some great new outfits in your closet, but NO, they are in your inventory.

You are watching television and a news show or an ad has something in a blue square in the corner of the tv screen and you look at it with interest, hoping it is a notice of someone buying something from your store.

You take a walk in the park and see a tree and think, that would look nice on my land.

You see a nice jacket in your boyfriends closet and think, I gotta take a picture of that.

No no no..."Missing Image"

...and you wonder if you can buy those textures from TRU.

When you are looking for a splooder in a RL club

You know you play too much when you bump into somebody in RL by accident and say, "Sorry...lag"

...you jump in RL and wonder why gravity pulls you back down instead of starting to fly as you intended to.

...you scoff at the prices of plastic surgery and think it's simply a matter of the appearance editor.

...you start to check wether your clothing and apparel is still where it should be after crossing the county's border.

...and then, to the bystander's confusion, you utter: 'Phew. Last time my shoes ended up in my backside.'

When you start planing a SL themed room party at a RL convention.

I need white "Missing Image" T-shirts and painted Nerf balls.

I also have to get some of that fake wood grain wallpaper to make
.5m cubes for people to wear.

Actually thinking "great skin/hair, I wonder where she got it" *blush*
