Kay - you sound like a dear, sweet soul.

A sensitive male should pick up on these cues and back off.
You'll get better at this, I promise, and, again, you're a dear sweet soul *smiles*

Be careful Kay ... one to watch here. :D

Who is this Sebastian character? And is he Making a Move on our new friend Kay? Is Kay really a sweet innocent, or does she harbor Secret Issues?

Stay tuned for the next episode of "As The Poseball Turns"! But first, a word from Our Sponsor!

There's a difference between 'clear' and 'crass.'

What's crass about "sex nao"? See, they even went to the trouble to look all cutsie with spelling now nao. *(I joke here)*

Actually, I don't know what you mean then.

Also, sometimes the other was just looking for a nice little conversation and didn't have a hidden agenda. And somewhere along the line they got the idea that this other might actually be interesting, "date worthy". So, they start down that conversation path. And then a thread is made about them being a smelly weirdo.

Nooo, not when YOU said it, not here. When someone random walks up to someone in a mall, and says unrepeatable things. Or, in a prior person's post example: "want sex?" But then I tend to correlate SL social behaviors to RL ones. How would that fly in RL?

(Ah! You added "I joke here" while I was typing this! Lol)

Follow your own instincts is what I am trying to say...she felt them loud and clear but got dithery because she didn't want to be 'mean.'

Kay, friend Jig and pass her all the blokes!

Good idea. Make three people happy with one stroke. What do you say, Jig?

If someone IMed me out of the blue just because we shared a group and I was online, I'd be a bit taken aback. But then, IMs from people I've never met and can't see are a bit unnerving, I feel. Especially ones who don't take the time from the start to tell you where/why they felt obliged to IM.

I'm with you on NOT feeling flattered by a guy obviously blind-trolling for 'company' that way.

It really does help to know it's not just me. I know being called that way is no big deal in most ways, but, well, it can lead to discomfort.

I'm going to view the whole thing as a learning experience. Next time, I won't be so off balance (I hope).

I do, too.

If this is your first av, consider making an alt, one that joins nothing and talks to no one. ;)

It can be just the break you need.

Hey Melita, having an av that joins no groups and talks to no one sounds a bit like a turtle without a shell...

You mean, you two are just making a guest appearance. The SLoap Opera has been running for...um, about seven years now, and the Drama shows no signs of abating.
