Ferrets traditionally have poor impulse control.

Hehe hope he got away with a handful of candy.

 :p

Just trying to be polite in your thread :P I do however enjoy reading the forums as its interesting to see how people conduct themselves, that's one reason I hate using ignore as people and their outlooks interest me :)

The "ignore" function in the forum is redundant for me.

There's this really cool invention that came about, oh, probably a few hundred thousand years ago; I think it is called "self-determination". Sometimes called "will", or "I decide for myself".

In addition to that, there's also this really neat invention, much more recent, called a "scroll wheel". It enables me to exercise my "self-determination" feature with a high degree of efficiency.

That said, I don't know of anyone here whose writings I want to ignore wholesale. I may disagree with many people, not "get along" well with others, or think a few are, for the most part, a waste of space. However, I have yet to find anyone I would totally dismiss to the point of using such a "feature".

I suppose if someone came into the forums and posted hundreds to thousands of max-length posts, filled with nothing but "DESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESUDESU", I would probably use the ignore feature, assuming the Lindens didn't get to him/her/it first.

It is most often used at the end or words and is pronounced "des", not "de-soo".

Loosely: "It is". (^_^)

It's particle of the Japanese grammatical system that defines the sentence you say as a direct reference to the subject that came before it. (^_^)

In Anime and some pop culture; youngish girls say "Desu" excessively in order to appear dumb and cute. This came to a practical peak when the character Suiseiseki of Rozen Maiden said "Desu" so much in her dialogue that it became an expression all its own. (^_^)

And, of course, it became an instant internet meme... desu~! (^_^)y

It's a more sophisticated form of "y'know".

I don't think I have anyone on ignore. I have put people on ignore in SL basically for being crazy or threatening. Maybe two or three which still seems like too many. Some guys in SL get furious over the tiniest imagined rejection let's put it that way.

And I mute people for things like oh leaving a group chat open then going to busy mode so the group chat is spammed by their away message for hours every few seconds. It isn't always about personality clashes, sometimes people just do things that are too annoying/distracting and I'm trying to work or chat or whatever. Hooo monsters at clubs get muted. I haven't gone to clubs much in a while though. Am becoming a boring grownup in SL - building and learning and stuff. And becoming part of a bigger community. Not only chasing fun. I kinda miss that...

On the forums I just scroll but if I ever felt I needed to use the ignore button I would. I think usually trolls vanish quickly here though.
