Well Bradley, you comments have certainly hit their mark. I remove myself from the forum permanently.
I'll stick to the world of sl/
Bye all.

LOL. If only I believed that were true.

Jig, you're entitled to your opinion, and I do hope you don't disappear entirely. But actually, tho he was a little harsh, Bradley does have a point. He's reacting to some history here.

Forgive me if you know this already. There used to be a General Discussion forum here, but it was closed by LL because it got too hard for them to moderate it ... reading the archives, it did get somewhat brutal. Now there is only Resident Answers and the very specific other fora, and Resident Answers is ... well, have you read the Forum Guidelines for it? Here is the first line:
From: someone
Resident Answers is a simple, friendly place to ask your fellow Residents of Second Life for help. This forum came about after many suggestions dating back a long time, so in recognition of how many knowledgeable Residents we have who want to help others, we decided it's time to do something about it!

So, what Bradley, Raymond, and some others are afraid of is that if Resident Answers wanders too far from its mission of helping fellow residents and becomes a General Discussion forum, it will be closed as well. A certain number of off-topic threads can no doubt be fine; but if RA becomes mostly just chat LL may see little reason to keep it open.

Sluniverse.com, for example, has excellent general discussion forums that are great fun. They have an RA-like section too. If you browse them, I think the difference will be clear. But no one, I'm sure, really wants to see you go ... maybe just cut back on the general interest threads to one a day, for the nonce?

I can't speak for others, of course, but despite my harsh comments earlier I have no desire to see Jig go. I apologize for not stating my concerns so eloquently as you did Nika.

I see a downward spiral happening in the forums that have me greatly concerned. It's not doomed yet but it's heading in the wrong direction and every day I see more and more posting "What do you think" threads.

It's not that I don't value the opinions of Jig or others, just that RA is not the proper forum for them. Nothing more I have to add. You said it perfectly Nika.
