Again, Blue Linden indicated that these new builds will be used to direct new players to their first mainland experience to set home in (yes, just like a infohub). Most of the loiterers tell me Linden Lab sent them there 3 months ago to set home so there they stay. So what do you think will become of these new Folly Builds within a year? The exact same thing as infohubs: unsupervised overcrowding, greifing and illegally recruiting new players..

My suspicion is that they, again, will end up more like, oh, Mohrr island.

Yes, we know what LL does not say. So until LL writes a tome larger than the Bible full of rules we just have to continue adding to them so the local sociopaths can understand they are harming others with their actions.
Again, your not not basing your statements on FACTS. Some that abuse the InfoHub resources have taken that class.
Well sorry I was using the FACTS you provided me in this statement.
From: Lias Leandros
I don't know what 'win back their patronage' means. Since none of the people that abuse the sim resources are patrons.
So which is it?
And referering to people who enjoy other peoples company as sociopaths? Sounds pretty anti-social to me.
All the people who gather in clubs must be sociopaths too........................

Bit confused there about "illegally recruiting new players" ... what's "illegal" about recruiting, and recruiting to what?

manipulating new players is probably what's inferred, I guess they're thinking about increasing groups and picks for gaming?

I've been on on-line communities for a while now and the one overbearing fact I have observed in all those communities is that everyone has an agenda and there is imo two ways to deal with this 1. never trust anyone or 2. give everyone enough rope to hang themselves

They greet new people arriving to the Infohub, offer them membership to their infohub 'friend' group and hang out enjoying each other's company. And when this group's numbers grow to 50 or 100 and a large percentage of the members come to see their friends in their favorite hang-out - what are the tier paying residents in the sim suppose to do? Wait in the adjoining sim and feel the love?

I've never been not able to get into a sim because of an infohub. Maybe your experience has been different.

I would would think twice about buying land in a sim with an infohub on it. But I'd also be looking around to see if there were any clubs around too, or a neighbour with a few really laggy scripts etc. The mainland is never going to be a lagless, pristine place. Which is why places like azure islands are so popular if you want a quiet place. The flipside though, is that those places are often completely empty and boring.

I just do not agree that Linden Lab can place these unsupervised loitering areas anywhere they like and then the tier-paying customers must adjust or move. When these new Folly Builds start popping up all over the mainland - many parcel owners will have negative experiences because the Linden lack of supervison.

... or maybe not. You just can't say for sure a blanket statement based on the opinions of one forum poster.

Why can't they? They can do whatever they like at any time they like for any or no reason. The TOS we all agreed to says so.

Well she has a point.

If you live in a nice quiet Sima nd suddenly a popular public works build goes up and its always crowded , right next to your house ...

It would be annoying.
