4096 on an island to play on. I have lots of stuff i want to build for it, but not much time! Have a sky platform with build tools that I let my friends use. The view is great, and I get an unreasonable amount of pleasure from just sitting in my Relics chair on the mountaintop.

I play with the notion of getting a 512 on mainland to put a little shop on, next to several sims of ocean, and anchor a yacht there. But the things I've made are kinda miscellaneous and better versions of them all exist I'm sure :) ... does the world need another little store filled with weird things nobody buys? hmmm ....

No spare tier.

Hey, I did the same - a shop full of weird stuff...and a rat roaming outside. I hope that didn't keep people off....it's a cute rat....

I don't sell much, but I kept thinking well, if I like the things I made, maybe some other poor soul will eventually like them, too. ;)

I hold 1536m2 in one SIM.

This supports my home, Zen garden and my little shop.

I have a rule that I will only buy more if the shop requires it AND it pays its way in terms of tier.

Well there is the small matter of the tier... I'm making most of the income of all that for our service provider (or more accurately, their bandwidth suppliers and suchlike).

Probably by the time all the middlemen pull their pieces out of the pie it buys one stale cherry on top of Rosedale's holiday fruitcake...

A quarter sim..less 1536 for musing and adventures, and i dont use all of it.. i like space.
Right now the space enables me to play with 100m mega prims and experiment with 30m linked objects..and scripting for animation.. i guess im not the most popular person.. but i go my road.. my path..its my space.

4608, my humble mainland shop. I have a workshop in the sky there too. My personal rule is it needs to pay for itself, and that's working out so far :)

3 full Islands and 4 Openspace sims, themed around the Victorian/Edwardian era and with a boatload of natural landscaping - we actually got picked for a calendar!

And to think it all started with a 512 last December...... I still remember wondering was I doing the right thing when I bought all those thousands of Lindens.....

3072...about a third of which is a water plot I bought to keep the neighbors from squishing me unduly.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

I've got a 4608 water block in Firespire, which I'm in the process of increasing currently to 8704 (ie maxing out the next tier). On it is my store, my home/workshop, and the marine park I'm currently putting together. Part of it is coz I like prims, but mostly it's coz I like space and want to be well surrounded by open water.

I have 1024 sq m on the mainland and 4096 on an island estate which will prolly have to go down to 2048 cos I'm broke and haven't sold anything recently :( I *hope* things will pick up soon. At least I've got access to a nice quiet sandbox sim to build in.

I have 9552 sq m, all mainland, in 4 different sims. Its all residential, my personal "homes". I still own the small noob plot I bought back in beta as well as my camp plot in De Haro, which I also bought during beta.

Yeah - you, me and an unknown number of unsuspecting others! I've done my best to raise the alarm, but I guess some unfortunate LL billing staff will come into work tomorrow to a full scale billing emergency:-(

24576m total. 16384m is a large contiguous lot in a single sim which I intend to keep. I rent out a few plots in it to offset the tier. It's big enough to create its own little environment in a sea of mainland chaos. :) The other 8192m plot is in another sim and I intend to sell if I can. Until I do, I'll technically have 8192m in unused tier. (I can hold another 8192m without jumping tier levels)

At one point I had ambitions to expand to a full sim and rent out all the plots, but when I realized that was a 20 hour a week job(on top of my regular RL job) I reassessed that goal and am scaling back for now. I might jump back in if the SL economy recovers and I can figure out a more efficient way to rent land.

Around 140,800 sq m or so.

Most of that is two mainland sims, which are mostly rented out under a light covenant to keep it from going the way of much of the rest of mainland.

I started out with 512 sq m in February 2007, but the surroundings were so hideous that it became clear that the best way to minimize being boxed in by eyesores or laggy clubs, camp farms, and, back then, casinos, was to acquire large areas of land and find other people who felt the same way and were interested in renting. It's worked out nicely.

I have a 4096 on a SIM that WAS perfect...I have a small beachfront and I did love it. My "landlord" is a great guy too. Just a few days ago I took down my huge castle ( due to trying to move a picture and picking up a section of the castle by mistake ) and put down a very small house.. it's a shame i am now boxed in by two businesses... the one isn't too bad.. the other..well...because of him i have a feeling I will be selling my land.. I just need a 4096 for my tiny house and my skybox... just under 1000 prims seems to be perfect for me... there, I have now bored you all with my life story.... resume your normal exciting lives now.... *smiles*

I sold all my land and tiered down several months ago, because I needed money to pay my cat's medical bills. But I haven't bought land again, because when I did own I had to move three times. I do know what I want to do with my land when I can afford to buy more. I have daydreams of getting my own sim someday. I could have lots of fun with that. ::Waves to Conifer:: How are things now that the casino has gone?

Zero

I thought about using my first 512 to put a shop on but you can't do much with prim limits that low so I donated it.

The 4096 my home sits on is owned by a friend. I got a great deal where I only have to pay tier. When I leave there I will go back to renting. I will not pay any up front costs for land I do not really "own". If I could purchase enough to develop that'd be one thing, but not planning that anytime soon.
