When editing an object or prim, and inputting the coordinates in manually, DO make sure where you've put the decimal place...

**sighs**

(remembering a necklace I created...just linked it, was going to set the X coordinate to the center of my plot, and POOF!! I mistyped, and it disappeared before I took a copy...still don't know what became of that, as it never was returned...maybe someday?)

go back where you were and search the sim.. check under terrain too with camera constraints off =P

If you can find the plot yu were on and someone with ability, ask them to check the objects panel in abuot>land and see if they can find any owned by you ^_^

DONT walk around with woody attached asking for dates

Don't start playing with attachments until you learn how to turn the camera around to your front side ("Woody? What are you talking about?";). :D

Don't buy anything, at all, until you've explored the freebies places and learned what is out there.

Don't buy furniture or other rezzables until you learn how to check prim counts.

Don't underestimate the power of Ruth. That avatar is the most effective creep deterrent ever.

Don't spend more on anything than you would be willing to throw away, because at any time you may be doing just that.

If you see a statue that says "don't sit here", don't sit there. Unless you really want to.

Thanks Okipha...this was about 8 months ago, the land has changed hands at least once...

No worries...someday, it may come flying back into my inventory...I expect it to be covered in all kinds of stickers from sims around SL, documenting it's vast travels (reminiscent of older cartoons depicting items that had flown around the world)

Don't im and chat up 2 girl avatars who show up in a venue simultaneously. Odds are they came together and are lol at your weak pick up lines.

Don't assume 2 or 3 girls sharing a house are gay or, alternatively, hot for some boy loving.

If you are new and someone gives you a dancing cow, don't get ride it.

If you are new don't ask everyone you meet where you can get free linden and then comment on the silliness of paying to play a game when they tell you to use your credit card... especially if you are sitting on a cow.

Don't take friends up on your paradise blanket without warning them what will happen if you crash.

Don't walk around wearing a laptop.

Never rez an item called Zombie Attack.

Here's a don't...

Don't assume that your new Force Prophecies (PsiTec, et al) summoning power is fun for me too...

If I wanted to be between your legs, I'd find my way there on my own thanks...no need to summon me there...repeatedly...

University of Submission likely. Not a Gor school but BDSM definitely, and they do teach the proper wording, such as Master, Mistress, Miss, Sir, sister, brother, W/we, A/all, Y/you, E/everyone

Good place in my opinion

EDIT:: Thinking back, they have books of Gor in their library, and are willing to teach Gorean principles if the person learning plans to be a Kaijira. Otherwise though generally they do 'normal' BDSM values and such, which Gor is really just that with a little more of the 'men are better' and maybe a little more strict sometimes

Sheesh. I hate rules.

For some reason I have this urge to go mess with the Gorians now...

That's a bad newbie thing to do, I know, but... ;)

Hehe. I've actually taken the classes there (all of them, before they added 20 more or however many more they added). None of the teachers noted "W/we, A/all, Y/you, E/everyone", though I'm sure it might have just been the teacher not noting that. Did mention Master, Mistress, Miss, Sir, sister, brother. Mistress/Master is Mistress/Master. An unidentified stranger is Miss or Sir. An identified stranger is still Miss/Sir unless Mistress/Master wishes us to call said person Mistress/Master. An identified stranger who is a sub/pet/slave/etc. is called sister/brother. Oh, and even if there is an identifier noting that a person is a slave "King's slave", you still call them Miss until you are informed you of their status, whereupon you switch.

Thats a bad thing to do in general.. its harassing a culture essentially. Frowned upon most places ;)

besides, Goreans, and BDSM in general is all actually consensual in SL. Impossible to force someone into it in a virtual world. Sometimes they will try to force you to follow their rules (Like the aforementioned references to people) but if you don't they generally won't do anything unless they're stupid.

Tons of classes now ^_^ I attended quite a few.. then became owned and stopped lol...

But I'm not sure if it was covered in a class actually, I just remember Mistress Fluffybunny telling me to do it when I came out to greet people and some were already there

Ironically that is the one that "processed" me into the University, but left for one reason or other and turned over the first lesson to her wife. Wife didn't mention the W/we thingie.

She is currently I believe the like.. higest up Mistress there.. not sure though.. oldest I knew of, as she was one of the 2 or 3 who founded it.

Her wife still does it too =P

Nice people ^_^

It's not stupid, it's etiquette, which is much of what the vanilla side of BDSM is....higher up i posted a bit more about it tho

Heh, I knew I'd get called on that. :)

I'll simply retract my statement and leave it at that. There is no right or wrong. ;)

Well, for my part, I'm sorry if I offended you (or anyone else who takes that form of etiquette seriously).

Whatever you do, don't ever, EVER, EVAR eat a gigantic hamburger without the proper protective headgear.
