Where do I report a vendor?

Anytime I visit a RPG type sim, I always wear the observer tag if asked, or tailor my look and attitude as best I can to fit in, or at least not stand out like a sore thumb. It's just courtesy.

So the guy shows up with a Gorean title over his name and maybe a slave in tow and the furry shop owner kicks him out and threatens to report him for abusing trial versions of the shopkeeper's product?

But this guy was there to spend money, right?

People can set whatever standards they want on their land or in their places of business as far as I'm concerned, but a warning of some sort would be polite. Something like, "Hey, I'd prefer that you don't RP the Gorean stuff here because it makes some of my customers uncomfortable. Thanks for understanding." Just jumping on someone and kicking them is silly, especially considering the number of Gorean RP'ers out there. It's not like a tiny little fringe group.

We have no idea whether the shop owner was furry, just that he didn't like the OP's tag.

But you forgot about the age old battle between the Goreans and another fringe RP group, the Furries. Much blood has been spilled in this battle, it is like the French and the English for much of their history or the French and the Germans, or the French and...........

OK, Now I can post after reading everything here. Firstly, I was never contacted by the vendor, just banned, I have no anti-furry groups in my profile and I have many furry friends, MANY. When I am in Gor I am in Gor, when I am out of Gor I wear the tag and clothes but do not practice.

i was shopping, I had no time to change my clothes, but said nothing negative, or derrogatory to anyone, he took money from my girl, then, ONLY THEN did he ban her. So she was ok for her money right?

Sorry, I am not prejudice, I have many friends, in all sim types, I tolerate and even befriend, this discussion is really difficult as many here are making assumptions and do not have facts to draw such comments from.

I am still upset at a scripter, who sells scripts used by thousands of Gor-Sim residents and players banned me becasue I am the Admin of a city where a resident of mine he had an argument with. I barely know her, and I do not know the store owner. He judged ME, I have judged NO ONE.

Hellenos Admin means nothing to me. What's Hellenos? Sorry I assumed that the shop owner was furry. I think it was mentioned elsewhere.

I give up on this thread. There isn't enough info to fill in the blanks. Something is going on other than the OP being persecuted like he thinks he is. I am certain we aren't getting the whole story here.

You will find, given the limited info, most of us were supporting your position. Of course we were doing it in our usual way.

But freedom of association goes both ways, all land owners have the right to ban who ever they want for what ever reason they want.

I find the gorean and furry troubles to be news to me.. and I've been both in SL =P

I've seen furry gorean slaves... and whatnot... maybe I'm just not observant enough.

You have to understand that very often when somebody comes in an says they were "BANNED 4 NO REEZUN", a little digging tends to turn up that there was a damn good reason that the OP neglected to mention. It's right up there with "my little brother used my account to grief somebody".



Well, there you are. Looks like you just got caught in some playground politics. Unfortunately, that's not worth an Abuse Report, just a live-and-learn moment. You don't seem to have done anything wrong beyond shopping with a vendor who takes things way too seriously. I'd just move on and let it slide.

Maybe, maybe not...you see how Tiberious reacted and the whole thing had absolutely nothing to do with him. Er, her? Anyway, it's perfectly possible that the shop owner went, "Ack, Gorean!" based on some past interaction and Raoul paid the price.
