Can the built in AO use multiple notecards, selecting between them?

The "Drop notecard here" section on the Emerald AO box is buggy or 'very sensitive' to where you place it. It took a dozen mindless attempts to finally get it to work. I don't know why i kept trying after the first few times, but i was changing the notecard name around to see if that made a difference and noticed the 'sweet spot' for dropping the notecard.

It seems to work brilliantly.

You just put one notecard in there which a bunch of extra choices for each animation and the emerald AO window will let you choose which anims to use with pulldown choices for each animation type: Walk, run, jumo, sit, groundsit, etc...

O.K. this built in AO is amazing.

I just detached my Huddlez, FOREVER, yo.

Wish they were transferable. I am going to rez mine in our new home as a time capsule for 2009 October and it being a new chapter in AO's for SL history.

For now you expand the AO floater and drag on a new notecard to switch. While that may be a little cumbersome, the new card will often load faster because you don't have LSL's 10 lines/second throttle.

Rhonda, i did 2 things:

- The first time i renamed all my animations a single or double digit character/number.

- The second timei set up myZHAO II card this way:

[Stand ] stand 1
[Stand ] stand 2
[Stand ] stand 3
[Stand ] stand 4
[Stand ] stand 5

------------------------ All the way down to 75 stands. This gets around the 255 character limit per line.

You can also just put 255 characters in each [Stand ] line do it that way.

I just don't know if the Emerald viewer can read a modified animation notecard using the multiple [stand] lines method.
I did not know you could have more than one line!
Thanks a ton. I will not have to pick and choose any more.

Does this mean the new AO processes dances as well? That is my primary use for my Huddles.

First login fails: yep, but in return it can remember usernames so you can save some retyping from then on. It giveth and it taketh

For me thats not a give/take. The "remember username" is part of the problem. I want it turned OFF but the box refuses to remain unchecked. All take, no give.

Furthermore even the saved logins fail on first attempt - every time, every alt.

Login goes like this: uncheck the box, enter login information, receive login failure message, uncheck the box AGAIN because it refuses to remain empty, re-enter login info, and connect. I'm not so lazy as to think this is too much work, but it is incorrect and frustrating nevertheless.

As for it being a server-side issue: the logic in that suggestion is good, however I have 5 different viewers installed and this is the only having login problems.

for the types you mention, that's fine...although I'd like to see a random cycle feature for sits, at least.

But what about stands? I have several collections.

No it will not replace any AO that you use specifically for dancing. But you can always get a simpler dance animator that just gives you buttons to press like huddles without causing the extra script time.

I'm having a few problems with the client-side AO but have had no problems with log-in or preferences on either Windows or Linux.

Its refusing to remember preferences suggests there's something funny about the channel settings. If I right click on my Windows desktop shortcut for the latest Emerald, choose Properties and then look at Target on the Shortcut tab, it says ------- What does yours say about settings?

Mine matches yours verbatim.

it will accept as many stands as you have.

All 75 of mine are working perfectly.

Oh, i put my AO into the #Emerald Folder, but i realize that the AO stuff can go into any folder you want as long as the animations are in the same directory with the notecard.

BTW: I can't simply blame my system. I failed to mention that I installed this version on two very different different computers, and it is giving me the same misbehavior on both.

A SLeighing song tonight

Oh, jiggle boobs, jiggle boobs
Jiggle all the way

Jiggle boobs, jiggle boobs

A day or two ago
I thought I'd take a ride
And soon Miss Fanny Bright
Was seated on my lap
The horse was a Linden alt
Misfortune seemed his lot
We got into a griefed sandbox
And then we got up tossed

Oh, jiggle boobs, jiggle boobs
Jiggle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to bounce
On a one horse open sleigh
Jiggle boobs, jiggle boobs
Jiggle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to bounce

It's not saving my preferences at all, which doesn't surprise me. Also, my connection is really badly lagged, but that I am attributing to a Windows Update that decided to "sneak" up on me.

Haven't had much chance to play with the tools yet, but I really love the idea of a client side AO, rather than a HUD driven one.

Thats right, not saving preferences at all... I turn OFF things like "remember avatar name" and the built-in AO every time, and every time I restart they're right back to full-on. Seriouosly, in terms of force-feeding me unwanted dysfunctional bells and whistles this viewer is behaving way worse than any Windows OS or Microsoft app yet.

I uninstalled the "optimized" version and tried the standard one. This is an improvement to the point where logins only fail about half the time, but it still over-rules me on the trinkets and flashy stuff.

I love the idea of more attachment points. I wish this thing worked. I am now going to uninstall and try to return to the previous version, which was functional.

Ok, I'm back to 123.4.673 optimized.

It obeys orders. I hope the improved version can get fixed.

The Jiggle tech is nice but it is kinda sucky if you use prim nipples since the boobs move and the nipples are stationary.
They should have implemented flexi sculpts, so both genders could benefit from jiggle.

For HAIR I mean! What did you think? :D

Seriously, all the hooks to implement using the alpha channel for "flexiness" should be in there on the server side. Even if they block setting flexi for sculpts in the server they could use some flag... like, say, an illegal particle system... to indicate that the alpha channel contained flexiness info.

Recommendations of one that works well but efficiently?

I'm more than a little concerned at the amount of ferret pictures Argent seems to have. There has to be a law someplace? Perhaps call the SOFPE - Society of Ferret Protection United.

Free the ferrets!!!
