The way I think of it is that a furry is an animal with human characteristics or features (bipedal, talks etc.), while a Neko is a human with animal characteristics or features (cat-ears, tail etc.). While I know that Neko means cat it seems to refer to others as well like humans with fox ears/tail and so-on, though not strictly correct. Just like how furry applies to birds and dragons etc.

From: bilbo99 Emu I'm not in-world but if you open map, enter Allana, and tp to dead centre, we're just a smidgeon south, the hangout is on posts. Careful though..... it's easy to land in the water if you don't pick your spot on the map right

My boring real-life wife is a Neko in SL sometimes.
Why she couldn't pick a cool animal like a wolf or a dog or fox (or any other form of canine) is beyond me. Cats in general = a victory of style over substance.

Dogs have masters - Cats have slaves. They don't come when they are called, they take a message and get back to you later. Personally I prefer Cats. They have that mysterious quality and you know that even though they could be completely independant, they still want attention and still love you no matter what. My cat turns the TV to the news when cartoons are on. My dog chases her tail and eats twigs. Which has more substance? lol I can't help it, I'm a cat person. It may not do as it's told, but nor does it dare even think to make demands or give instructions. It may not come when it's called either - but why would anyone call a cat? What purpose would it serve? Cats, afterall, serve no useful purpose - so it is probably better for all concerned that they stay out of my way. Cat's don't love you either. Cat's want feeding, and that's it. Plus; no animal that proudly displays it's puckered wrinkly anus for all the world to see can really be said to have a "mysterious quality". Dogs, atleast, can fetch a downed pheasant for you and bring it back undamaged; so that's 1-nil. Cats are like women basically; nice to look at, but not really a useful companion. They complain a lot too, and are prissy about getting their hair messed up. Dogs are like men; straight forward, what you see is what you get, always up for a laugh but still willing to get stuck in with a proper days work when the time comes.

I will say this about RL cats: Q: Why don't cats try to kill you? A: Because they can't. Fortunately, their SL neko cousins aren't as ... primal ... that way, at least.

The PopFuzz sim has a lot of Neko goodies, including that large set of neko animations. Look at the bottom of the tube lift shaft in the center of the store area.

Actually, it's not really couched when he out and out states that women and cats are all useless. I wonder who thinks gave birth to him? LOL

As I was growing up more than one dog tried to kill me. No cat ever tried to kill me. Hehe - not as primal? Didn't I just accidently kill the sim by blowing away things with my guns? Kill kill kill. Die Bart Die! -- "Cat's don't love you either" Try to get a bloody real cat. Mine just won't stop rubbing against me and demanding attention. A downed pheasant? Have you been near a real cat? Real kitties go out and kill rats and birds and possum and then drag them back and lay them at your feet. Get a bloody real cat already.

Not write "The Bart, The" It was interesting when the clown got some cranes as a publicity stunt, endangered cranes, and he accidently killed them. Frasier Crane Day.

So, if dogs are like men, does that mean that they lick their own butt and eat their own poop, too? =^.^= In Colorado, where I live, when people live out in the country and have dogs outside, they have to build fully inclosed pens because the local mountain lion population has aquired a taste for their canine rivals... talk about poetic justice, lol. =^.^=

You just don't understand the situations that cats do this-it's the equivalent of "kiss my ar*e", you know? Only more...literal. A kind of giving you the two fingers gesture. We have a black and white tomcat whose, erm, anus is bright pink. Besides, he's a bit....um....daft as a brush, actually. And I'm sure his little butt glows in the dark too, with that colour. But he's the only cat where this particular characteristic makes you want to make fun of him. Like calling him "Rosa Ar***loch" ("pink ar*ehole" sometimes when his actual name is Nero. Must be the xy chromosomes then.

It would actually be "The Beard, the" Using the wrong gender.
