From: Baloo Uriza While the Bad Touch is gauranteed a spin at just about any convention dance, the consesus is generally that the Bloodhound Gang isn't furry. I wasn't suggesting they were. This: From: Ponsonby Low We're all mammals, babe.
just reminded me of the "You and me, baby, ain't nothing but mammals..." line of the chorus.

From: MortVent Charron Furnation is the more mature sims of the SL furry comunity compared to luskwood, he might get inivted to more than a cuddle by some of the residents. More likely than not, accused of being someone who they aren't, banned on that basis and told to sit and spin when asking about an appeal. Luskwood's easily among the most prejudgemental places one can go in SL. If you want to go to a furry sim that isn't militantly stuck in stirring up the drama as much as possible, go hit FurNation, Curious Inc, or some of the more exclusive areas like Club Feral or Seal Cove. Between problems I've had and how often I hear this scenario brought up by other furs in-world, I can honestly say that Luskwood's only good use is as a landing zone to send truly obnoxious people you never want to see on the grid again. After they meet the Luskwood management, they won't want to come back to SL.

I've never had problems at luskwood, some do based on how they act.
Quite a few forget lusk is a pg sim and act like it's furnation.

From: Ann Launay Wait, who's shortsighted? The person who insists something must be what it always has been, even though it's obviously already changed, or the one who admits and embraces said changes? Both are wrong. Moo seems to be under the misunderstanding that furries have always been exclusively of the canine persuasion. Probably the earliest magazine targeted towards furries, Albedo Anthropomorphics, featured felines in it's first issue IIRC, and that was back in the 80s.

From: Kaimi Kyomoon I saw one on a CSI episode. No, you didn't. I've been to real furry conventions, what was on CSI was far too over-the-top. Actual furry conventions aren't that different from sci-fi or anime conventions.

Heh, if you're going to go back to the early '80s... there's also the L'doran Hegemony and its history in Alarums and Excursions magazine. Out of the species in the Hegemony only Altani and L'drey were at all canine (they were foxes). Skiltaire were weasels, H'reli cats, and so on...

From: Arcane Clawtooth Ick, then you haven't seen a furry convention. I love CSI, but that episode was awful. Drifting further off-topic, the resolution to that episode was downright incompetant when it comes to police work. I would have charged the rancher with involuntary manslaughter and discharging a firearm across a public right-of-way and run with whichever charges (possibly both, but likely only the manslaughter one due to the tendancy to go with the most severe charge if a single act violates multiple laws).

From: Amaranthim Talon The final line, "fur and loathing in Las Vegas", is worth the entire episode. I thought the dirty pun the lab technician made that was censored by a creative cut designed to appear that the last word was accidentally clipped by the commercial. "Well, that's what you get for eating--" <cut to commercial> From: someone Consider also that many will never believe that it is even real. Dangling participle? Who is "it?"

From: Baloo Uriza I think there's a difference between being a furry and playing an animal to get your rocks off. Er...so what was all that noise about yiffing, then?

From: Oryx Tempel To me, a Furry is someone who lives the lifestyle. Like, you'd be out looking for llama-ettes, and you'd have the proper llama "attachments" if you catch my drift. Since Elora is definitely not a llama-ette, you're not a Furry. Quick! Somebody make Elora an "Honorary Llama" T shirt or something!

Just to set the record straight though (since you brought up the topic), you've not been banned from Luskwood for anything having to do with alts - rather you were permanently banned (after being given a second chance) due to your consistently confrontational attitude and generally unpleasant (to put it mildly) demeanor. As for the folks reading your opinion... well, I'd just advise them to search for your other posts in these forums, and consider the source . (No replies from me past this one on this topic, so as not to feed the troll.)

From: Ann Launay It's a reference to a song in the musical Oklahoma! called 'Surrey with the Fringe On Top.' I only know this due to the movie 'When Harry Met Sally.' Edit: Hugh Jackman's rendition. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dz-ky8qqKMg What's a Surrey?

From: Lexxi Gynoid What's a Surrey? A two-person carriage drawn by one horse. Also a town in England.

heh, the words are not computing in my mind. Fringe, surrey. The carriage at least has a sort of canopy over the top, which is where the fringe would be. Don't know about the town. And I cannot believe no one commented on the Hugh Jackman rendition of the song.

Sometimes the thread that will not die is an endless string of nothing but links I can't use. I am sad at such times.

From: say Moo no no no.. read my post more carefully, and think outside the box for a while. then if lucky you see what i'm trying to tell. I'm not saying everyone should think the same, not at all.. what i am saying is, that people are ONE side visioned mostly. And take only that side for granted. Not researching, thinking or exploring the other side, and combine them as the whole truth. Well, I did the research and every authorative looking web site, from the comix/comics sellers to Wiki Furr, seems to include mice, bears, kangaroos, as well as canines, in the mix. That would include some of the longest running comics, based on those researched sources. I didn't find any, not one, with your definition, but I only checked the first ten or so. Maybe you could give some? For my side, I suggest just typing 'furry' or 'furries' into Google and go down the list.
