But the choice of identifying as "Furry" or not is entirely up to you. I know several people who are fair-skinned, and who refuse to check the "Caucasian" box on forms identifying race. Instead they check "Other", and write in "Celtic". They don't self-identify as "Caucasian", even though most of the world would look at their ancestry and place them in that category. It's just PC for being white, considering most white people aren't Caucasian. _____________________

Ick, then you haven't seen a furry convention. I love CSI, but that episode was awful. The final line, "fur and loathing in Las Vegas", is worth the entire episode. Joking aside, I am sure the fur community would of course be horrified to be cast as laughing stocks which the episode certainly did. When considered that this really is a way of life for some and as such just as valid really as any other expression of self that doesn't hurt or inflict itself upon others, than yes- it is a bad joke to play on them. Consider also that many will never believe that it is even real. _____________________

I have a similar problem, I am sort of stuck in the middle. Human's call me a furry and animorphic furries say im not because I dont use Prim bits other than my ears, whiskers and tail.
All my looks are accomplished just using the sliders. I've even had some people call me a hybrid ...  So here I am a lost little Neko caught betwixt two social worlds.... _____________________

That one looks pretty catlike from the front, but I suspect the muzzle effect is not convincing from the side. I've tried coming up with slider settings that would let me avoid the use of prims, and it's really really hard. Too hard for me.

To me, a Furry is someone who lives the lifestyle. Like, you'd be out looking for llama-ettes, and you'd have the proper llama "attachments" if you catch my drift. Since Elora is definitely not a llama-ette, you're not a Furry. You might want to get your definition of furries from something with a little more basis in reality and less basis in television fiction. |

Furrs, are canine based characters (ontop of human base) The term furry is not species dependant in the least. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Furry_fandom just like, Neko's are feline based characters. That's more of an anime thing, though there are furry nekos. |
