Mom Cancels WoW Account - Kid Freaks Out

Nope - If the parent pays for the computer, the internet access and the WoW account, the child has no RIGHT to a feeling of entitlement. Those things are privileges that can be taken away if not used properly. Hell, even if the kid pays the monthly WoW fee, the parents are probably paying for the internet access and the electricity to run everything.

While someone is a child, they have very few RIGHTS -- a right to clothing, housing, being fed, not being abused, education, a few other things in that realm but everything else is a privilege.


There is the so-called 'normal unbalanced' that most of us are and there is the 'way out there unbalanced' that needs a bit of specialized help.

What do you want to bet that mommy caved in and gave him the account back just to shut the brat up?

I bet she didn't. For all his contorting and gibbering, a single solid "SHUT UP!" was enough to take the wind completely out of his sails, soonest. In point of fact, I don't see that the kid needs to be disciplined, either. He went to his own room, closed the door, didn't break or damage anything, and when asked to stop making noise he obeyed immediately. Sounds like plenty of discipline to me. He is a total freak, though.

This is where I will just have to agree to disagree.

I believe that children are people just the same as adults, only younger. I believe they should be treated as equals, or maybe more like newbies I have found that a parent's true role is more of a guide and that the only thing you can teach them of any worth is to think for themselves.

...and to keep their elbows off the table during mealtime.

I'd expand on that and teach them that in this culture people, including yourself, are offended when others put their elbows on the table. I'd also tell him that in other cultures they have very different courtesies and that the important thing is to be aware of what is and isn't acceptable to avoid offending others unnecessarily. Then we'd have a good laugh over what some of these things are and how and why people would have any emotional reaction to them at all.

I'm sure that sounds nuts to most of you but I really did raise my son this way. We used everything for an excuse to discuss stuff in that kind of way. He questioned everything and learned to think for himself. Now that he's grown up I couldn't be more proud of him and we remain very close.

they were on some online game and the freaked out brother didn't know his brother was the one betraying him in the game..

he taped it ..his mom finally had to kick him off the computer..then he tells a friend to get on cam before watching this to see how he reacts to it..

the friend didn't really react much ..he was like..wow whats he playing? lol

i can't see where it would be made up because really nothing looks fake..

and the other videos look real too..i've got a couple spoiled nephews that i've has to calm down that made this fit look like he was asking for a favor lol

I mean, it's one thing to be upset over the loss of something you enjoy doing; but.... wow!

Look at the third video from little brother, the one where older bro gets a "truck" for his 16th birthday and then decides to attack it in a fit of rage with a baseball bat. Even taking a swing at one of the "adults".

The entire family seems disturbed. Look at the other cars they have parked in their driveway and garage.

you should hear people over voice on quake or half-life. SCREAMING at ppl for getting them killed, or not doing this or that.
