Mom Cancels WoW Account - Kid Freaks Out

Teenage boy on camera rams remote control where the sun don't shine while continuing to channel raw emotional rage - not a hint of camera awareness. If it was staged, the kid is an amazing actor. What seems to suggest it might of been staged is the fact that the brother posted a 2nd video well after the 1st, and it shows his brother flipping out while playing WoW or some other MMO.

I thought it was probably staged since the brother managed to rush in exactly the right moment and set the cam at exactly the right angle etc to capture the whole thing in a couple of seconds flat.

It was still hilarious though. You do see younger kids on tv who would have turned out just like that if it wasn't for Supernanny!

Although I notice, in the right column, the kid is quoted as claiming he's only acting in the video. I don't know if he is or not, but I do wonder why anyone would film themselves playing a video game?

Now THAT had "staged" written all over it. He's supposedly playing UT, but he hardly moves the mouse (but he clicks.. oh boy does he click), which means he isn't even aiming. He also has his hands on the movement keys, but doesn't hardly press them, let alone the fact that the keyboard was probably already toast from his preceding bout of bashing it on the desk.

Staged or not - absolutely hilarious.

We had a local case around here last year (sorry - no video) where police was called to a home in the middle of the night.
The neighbors alarmed the police because the screeming and yelling they could hear, had convinced them than someone was in the process of being murdered.

When the police arrived, they found no murder victim, but a hysterical teenage girl.

It seemed (so the media reported) that the girl had refused to quit her internet activities, turn off her computer and go to bed in the middle of the night when her parents told her to.

Finally the parents solved the problem by pulling the power cord to the computer.

This caused the teen girl to go into hysteria, screeming and yelling and waking up the neighborhood

Sheesh the sense of entitlement there. That's a kid who I hope got the entire computer removed soon afterward.

From the sounds of what I could hear, it sounded to me like his computer SUCKED and couldnt run UT2004.

This is totally staged. It's not an example of a kid freaking out over the loss of a WoW account, it's an example of the teenage You Tube video whoring phenomenon. Not sure which is worse.

no way was it staged..i mean that kid would have to win an oscar for that ..it was to real of a fit..and what was with the remote and the butt thing??
if it was staged there would have been mistakes..

the german kid one was easy to spot out this was just to good to be fake..

plus the way he turned it off when the parent said shut up..if it was staged he would have spoke up to them or not stopped.. he knew fit time was over lol

Staged or not, anyone who has played wow for any amount of time has heard people freak out on ts/vent over something so ridiculous.

yup 4 years and in the 4th largest guild in wow back then..
i heard all kinds of people crying over silly gear..i mean fits..people of all ages too..

bleh..it's just not worth it if it controls you like that..

People are shown a video of a kid expressing the way he feels about as purely as is possible in reaction to the only information we have - that his mother canceled his WOW account.

And most people here feel the video is hilarious and that the kid's reaction is inappropriate and that he should be disciplined for it.

You don't see any other problem there? brrrrrrrr

Funny yes, but...

i think turning off the WoW was more than enough ..i'm sure he did something wrong to get it turned off..it may not have had anything to do with him playing too much...it could have just been his grades suffered ..maybe it's temporary maybe not..

but like i have said..i've had adults a lot older than him from my old guild..they threw childish fits for longer amounts of time on team speak..to the point we had to ban them until they would calm down..

We can argue forever whether or not it is faked. But going from the assumption it isn't ...

Having been through having a teenager in therapy, I can tell you it is a poor excuse for an understanding parent, although quite typical of our generation. Ignore the child's problems until they get messed up enough and then up send 'em off to therapy. And if that doesn't work for them? It doesn't for most teens you know.

Kids only get a 'sense of entitlement' when they have already been indulged too much. The kid and parents all need some work in these cases.

IF this was real, then one of two things are going on:

1) kid is unbalanced mentally

OR

2) parents never taught kid how to deal with anger, frustration, disappointed, not getting their way, and probably a whole list of other things.

I agree. If you give a kid something, like a WOW account, then he has every right to feel entitled to it.
