I must be losing my touch, when people are starting to take me seriously......

I tend to take everyone seriously until otherwise informed

Group Liability
12-05-2007 01:49
I am the coowner of a group and I was charge much more than 1L or 6L or whatever... I was charged almost 200L for liability fees the other day. And the search listing only costs 30L per week.. anyone know why I was charged so much?

You need to check your groups for the ones that own land. The group owner has to switch something on, or off ... I'm not sure. If they don't, all the group members are charged.

Help, somebody!

This is like joining a sports club and complaining about the membership fees... as soon as you join a group you should look at the rules. And if you don't want to pay, leave. If you don't want to pay AND don't want to leave, at least don't complain about it here will you.

Ow and Brenda: I never took you as far as I know. Not seriously, not even for fun. What did I miss out on, other then your panties? :D

Cheers, Marcel

I'm not familiar with what liability fees encompass but if you have group members who have withdrawn tier they had previously deeded, you could be liable to monthly tier payment maybe?

I was confused there as to why a thread two months old had been necroposted and can't quite catch the relevance of Danielle's corner.

Hi Alyse and welcome to the forum :)

Could it be that you are a member of another group that has the wrong settings in terms of sharing finances on group owned land or something along those lines?

yeah ..... and what Bilbo said :)

It's L$30 per parcel, if you have 6 group-owned plots that are listed in search you'll get hit with a L$180 liability fee (since you said "almost L$200";).

Linden tier is always due in US$, and group members would never get charged for a shortage on tier in a group.

When a group is short on tier, someone either needs to explicitly donate more tier or LL will contact the group-owner telling they need to find tier or abandon the land to Govenor Linden.
