Can I come out of the corner now?

A few weeks ago, I started a thread here on Resident answers that was inflamitory, insulting, and probably perceieved as racist to some. I'm not here to rehash any of it, just to deliver a formal apology to any I hurt, offended or insulted.

I had a bit too much wine, and I engaged my mouth (typing fingers) without engaging my brain. I apologize for any remarks I made that were hurtful or inappropriate. When I woke up the next morning, and read what I wrote, I was ashamed and embarrassed. I've spent my time since then, figuratively, with my nose in the corner, thinking about what I did, and why it was wrong. Again I apologize to any I offended.

Can I come out of the corner now?

Thank you, in advance.

Dani

Danielle,

You and I had a few rounds in that previous thread and you really pissed me off. But I have a great respect for you now.

Regardless of whether you had too much wine or just bad judgment, we all say things we regret later. To stand forward afterwards and apology takes great courage and shows tremendous character.

Thank you very much. Now stop hiding over there and come join the madness.

See, the cool thing about getting tipsy on the forums is that when other drunk people post inflammatory stuff, I generally can't remember it the next day. ;) Come and play!

I forgive you 100% even though I don't remember your post probably because I had too much wine to drink myself. You are not alone. I can't begin to tell you how many stupid posts I have made here but I hope to someday learn my lesson before Strife gets me. :D

One of the best things about our Forum family is that many things are forgotten and forgiven quickly. Many times harsh words are typed, but in most cases grudges are not held. :)

I can't remember the thread. I know I posted on it. I post on all inflamatory threads.
Of course they're not always inflamatory before I posted, but they are after.

Hehe. Too much wine and the interweb eh? Been there, done that and had that 'oh hell, did I really say that?' moment the next morning.

Mixing alcohol and forums is one thing though. Mixing alcohol and SL is quite another. (/me shudders at a memory she is desperately trying to suppress)

Way cool post Danielle. :-D

The most important thing is that the thread developed into the funniest one I've seen since I've been here!!

I actually made new friends during that thread!

Also lets not bad mouth wine. Wine rules the world.

Its 9.47am and I'm thinking about wine.

<stop saying wine>

Wine.

I think this forum thrives on controversy - everyone is entitled to their opinion and everyone is entitled to express it... and everyone else is entitled to agree or disagree. Thank you for your candour (wine fueled or otherwise) and for livening things up here. :)
