That is just not a thought I wanted. thanks Sandy,... and Conan.

My Christmas Spirit has just floated - spirit-like - out of the window.

Ruined.

/me wanders away to stand next to the christmas tree hoping it will infuse me with Christmas spirit

HA HA!

Its all a great big joke. I am the most Christmassy person I know. I was preparing for Christmas in January.

I'm SO Christmassy in fact that nothing could ruin my Christmas. I love Christmas. I cant wait. Only 5 more days of work then 13 days off.

On Thursday 20th I start the preparations in ernest and its off to the butchers for the bird (DAMMIT)

I have a chicken in the freezer already, and I am curing my own ham (which I enjoy touching). Also, I have been curing my own bacon this week too. Next monday I will be making the paté, which will need a week or so to mature before being ready to eat.

"Vegetables" you say? I'm sorry, I'm not sure what you mean.....

Oooh good one - the stuffing joke.

"Hey Auntie Ethel, do you want stuffing?"

Yeah brilliant Auntie Ethel, why dont you pull a malfunctioning cracker with me too.

Ruined.
Pulling a dysfuntional cracker might be more fun.

Hell! we're all crackers here!!!

/me sidles up to Claire by the tree, offering a plate of mince pies ... there make something out of that!!

/me is still waiting for my Christmas spirit to come back... This damn tree hasn't got any!

Just you and me then Kaos. Musical Chairs will be a bit of a wash out. Charades could work though.

Blibo, I have emptied my box for you.

Claire, I have been buying presents in SL for weeks and have even created a folder called 'Gifts'. If nobody else is playing out on Christmas Day, Kaos gets the lot.

Only a couple, for very special people in my SLife.

My cards are all stacked up and ready to go though. I'll send them out later today.

Ok, Sandy and Bilbo are in charge of the Christmas (or whatever they are calling it) party.

This Saturday, all day, the Hangout will be the scene of a "Come as your favorite Disney character" party. Oryx was the driving force behind this.

Morning Sally,

The platypus is the only mammal that lays eggs. Wierd.

I never would have thought the forum gang was less than a year old, you all give off a mature air that creates an impression of *years* of existence.

And you're right, we should call it a Holiday Party. Not everybody thinks the baby jesus was 'all that' or something.

Don't even try it re the platypus.

A better question is why do baby and adult platypi not have teeth, but teenage ones do? (relatively speaking).

ooo I've seen the perfect dress! I'll have to go blonde though, =/ blonde doesn't really suit me. It goes to my head. As I can't be an elephant or a mini cricket easily I might try for Sleeping Beauty. I could fall asleep and people would just think I was really getting into the part lol. thats even if I can get in-world on saturday.
Yey for Oryx!!!

My serious answer to that, Chris, is that some people feel more welcome than others.

Pretty sure I won't be in-world for Christmas, but during the party--or anytime--you're welcome to use the snowy parcel next door in Dallows. (Like if the crowd overflows the sim, or if you just feel the craving for inclement weather.) There's a tiny skating pond and a sign that gives out my crappy free ice skates. I promise to fix the park benches before the party. (Beware: the panda throws bamboo when you pet him; try to think of it as "sharing.";)

Sorry Sandy - the spiny anteater ( a relative of the duckbilled platypuss) also lays eggs.

Sorry Christmas is cancelled beause my pc is buggered (but check the LL blog for festive snowballing et al).

And your sad about birds or something.
