Actually this is interesting, I'm surprised there's so many pages of worthless chatter.

Apparently you are unable to read.
it is no matter of winning or loosing, you let the forum get to you way to much. That is why you should leave for a bit, in my opinion. Not because I say so, but because it would be better for your own piece of mind.
The initiative for Chris is the most perfect example of how this forum and its users can be a community. It shows that people do care. Whether you want to see it or not.
Finally, I could not care less about your dyslexia. The only thing I did care about it your 'teh', which you admitted in another thread you did on purpose. And I cared about the fact you did not use spelling correction even when knowing your posts were full of errors.
Of course Second Life is just another business. Not some idealistic platform.
What I know of you is what you told in the forum, not more, not less. And I do not pretend to know you either. I do know that you do not read what I wrote though.
What I said is: "It is only the freaking forum you know?" (well, I mistyped and said greaking). Meaning: It is not real life, it is some web pages you can easily close. Don't get fed up by it.
No one says it is a gang or something either, though that is the easiest defense of people who do not get what they want. "It's a clique, it's a gang". Gimme a break.
If it is a broken-down shagged-out idea, I really do not understand why you make such a fuzz about it. One paragraph ago it was a global community, now it is a shagged-out idea. Go figure.
Finally, about the nasty little bitch part.
In my opinion I always tried to be friendly to you. The way you react to me, does indeed show a nasty streak. So maybe you are right, I don't know. And to be honest, I care less and less.

Okay Marcel, let me try to get my points across to you.

I never said I was typing "teh" on purpose. It is a genuine mistake I make when I am typing. I just cant be bothered to correct it because I am thinking and typing so bloody fast I dont have the time to go back. I am "immediate" in my postings. Yes, I ADMIT it, I did type TEH a few times just to piss people off simply because I couldnt get over the aggravation "teh" was causing. Thank God you dont know the kinda things I get up to in my creative reality if you think "teh" is bad since I am highly extrovert in what I actually do . I am a firm adherer to the rule that there is no such thing as bad publicity, I guess. But, but, but, "teh" is a genuine error.

Next. Yes we ARE a clique. Accept it. We are a finite group of people who assume knowledge of something and offer advice or comentaries to the uninitiated or "newbs". IF you go on the ignore thread you will see chat that is incomprehensible to any outsider. I havent a clue what is being referred to. This "in-speak" is a significant sign of a clique. In my own work, I use an idiom that is understood by my counterparts around the world - it would mean little or nothing to you unless you were "invited" into our group by your performance and your "history" with us. Clique may be a negative term, but so be it.

I don't find you particularly "friendly" to me since much of what I say (and HOW I say it) seems to aggravate you. We have never met in-world so I dont know you any better than from being here.

My dyslexia (which is a concern of mine since following my illness it has been more apparant to me) is something I have to handle. A spell checker does NOT help dyslexia since I cant actually SEE the misspellings anyway. It's so hard to explain, its not even worthwhile. Just call it a brain-wiring problem. I actually also have numbers dyslexia which explains to my family why math was hell for me from the age of 5. Now I am bloody correcting every damn "teh" I can) Obviously, my issues are of no concern to you. I state it just to stop some of the comments.

Yes this is a shagged out community. Yes this is a global platform. Yes, we should be more aware of that. Instead we are playing silly-buggers on threads. People adopting mutltiple personalities and arguing with themselves, for God's sake. people purposely making rail-roading comments just to end a "serious" discussion, the inevitable "pie" comment that gets everyone rolling in stitches in the aisles for some reason. SL wasnt designed as a comedy routine and neither was the forum. Everyone points out that I have posted my share of stupid threads and I accept my guilt. I am perhaps more excited by opportunities here and maybe I do sound passionate about the opportunities for social networking on a more serious level than some. I am NOT a fierce advocate for serious postings, I am really a lot of fun, I think. In real as I type this, I am tattooed (but not obviously) and pierced (pearls in my ears tody and one on my eyebrow) in real with this week's blue and purple undertoned shaggy cut, I think this states an extrovert fun person who isnt taking herself too seriously in a world of dullness.

This place can be a fantastic environment for people with disabilities and people with social issues. I dont really know what "shyness" is but I can imagine how important sl can be to them - and the forums.

In my reality I try desperately hard to be decent. I've "done my time" as a wild one. I broke many hearts and much confidence that was placed in me. But I am still a "nasty little bitch" on many occasions and regret it constantly. I don't let it eat me up. I just recognize my own shortcomings. I am sure you are a very decent person Marcel but dont get your knickers in a twist over my "teh"s.

If it's not presented as fact, it's not a lie, except in Lee Killough's novel "Deadly Silents".
If it's not true, it's a lie, in my view.

Hey, Pep, did you read this part as well?

And looking up the postings, YOU actually READ those fantastic liars Twain and Shakespeare? Or are they just on your bookshelves to "look good"?

If you are as intelligent (albeit sarcastic and cynical) as you claim to be, why don't YOU start a creative thread?

Pep did, and he asked me to say that it is apparent that your paranoia is only matched by your lack of comprehension.

Actually, I kinda suspect you REALLY did. But then, as you know, I can read YOU like a book, can't I?

Yes, it does appear that way. But I am not laughing. Did you read Behn's poem, by the way? Ofcourse, you know it already, but it's relatively new to me and it has a sense of integrity I admire.

"Comprehension"? No. I think extrapolation is more my strength. Comprehension is rather a dead-end, isnt it? It get's you the C-minus. In my line of work that hardly cuts the cloth. No, it's critical and creative thinking and acting that brings home the bacon these days.

Such a worn-out phrase - "chick-lit". Tritely clever as so much criticism was in the Sixties. Even Melvyn Bragg would cough slightly and look embarrassed. I expect better things of you than that - come now, or is it simply caviare to the general?

Chosen especially so that you would have half a chance of comprehension.

I am afraid this is becoming a "yeasty collection, which carries them through and through the most fond and winnowed opinions; and do but blow them to their trial, the bubbles are out."

Mr. Writer.

Your use of the term "deviant" displays a bias against nontraditional sexual behavior that I find disturbing.

/me raises a black gloved hand and clenches her fist. You hear the ventilation inexplicably become louder and feel a strange constriction about your throat.

So why isn't "Chariots of the Gods" filed under fiction?

Not cut and not pasted.
Hamlet had "given countenance to his speech, my lord,/ with almost all the holy vows of heaven" and I loved him. So, if one is very, very quiet, one can stand silently stage left and witness his final moments.

If you reply, I am not ignoring you - I am about to start to do what I am paid to do.

"Indeed, la, without an oath, I'll make an end on't" (and I never ever insert "innit";)

You'd better ask the Head Librarian of Milton Keynes Library Services *that* question I am afraid.
