It's right here: https://blogs.secondlife.com/community/answersI participated in the beta run along with a few other Mentors. What I got out of it is that there is no "Report post" button. Quoting is considerably nonexistent in any meaningful way. The layout is simply wonky. The scoreboard, pointless (pun intended) due to potential favoritism and potential knowitall filibustering. (=_=) Really... If it isn't the stupidity keeping me out, it'll be the horrible layout. (>_<

The points system and the lack of discussion. I've seen threads marked as answered and then it's clear the OP still wants to talk about it, but they've flagged it as answered, so the discussion dies.

It is the OP that flags the question answered. The quality of the answers is dependent upon the quality of the participants.

Ooh.. Didn't know that.. So, if the OP starts a question/thread with a preconceived notion of what the answer "should" be, he/she can simply call that matching response an answer and the thread gets shut? (O.o) Geh.. One more reason. (T_T) That can sooooo be agenda gamed. (>_<

From: Ann Otoole The quality of the answers is dependent upon the quality of the participants. And the OP's comprehension of the actual problem and the correct answer.

Horrible layout that makes it impossible to follow various threads.
If it looked like a forum instead of a blog, maybe people would be happier to use it.

(O.o) Yeah I visited for like 5 minutes when it first opened, saw a bunch of things marked as correct answers that didn't seem to be correct, and then I left.

The quality of the answers is dependent upon the quality of the participants. That's what I said but it's the whole needing to flag it as answered that leads to these scenarios. Second Life answers has potential for straight forward answers, how do I file a support ticket, how do I rez a prim, how do I get my business on the blog, motd, emailed to everyone signed up to receive Sl emails, how do I upload textures yadda yadda yadda but for issues such as how do I remove glitching on joining prims, how do I texture the inside of a hollow, how do I start a good advertising campaing, it's not a good format.

From: Ciaran Laval That's a bit harsh. Well there are all those people with a longer bar graph that is upsetting 4 or 5 people. Bar graph envy.

The first thing I see on the page is: From: Unanswered Questions You can't create discussion threads here, but as discussions appear they might have answers you need. Huh? Must be some kind of human logic. I'm sorry, I don't understand what this is saying at all. The truth is, I'm really looking for an on line community where we can post in-depth questions and discussions as a supplement to our SL venue. It's good to have a place to let new people know how to open a box, but eventually we all want to go deeper into what the experience means. Chatting in world isn't good for this. The answer is in some kind of general discussion forum. Most across the street forums are in severe need of moderation. The RA forums here have the closest I have found to what I seek.

All of the above -- it just plain sucks. I was trying to find something there last night and finally just closed the damn browser tab.

From: Osprey Therian There isn't a feeling of community. Linden Lab don't consider this concept as important. This was a complaint prior to moving the Xstreet forums and was completely ignored.

All of the above plus:
* Rediculous loading times. * Hardly impossible to navigate on a smart phone.
90% of the time I am reading or posting on the forums, I do so on my cellphone. My N97 has a hard time with the format there, so it is useless for me. LL, a company claiming to embrase new technologies, has fully overlooked, and after pointing it out to them, ignored this fact.
But then again, they are perfectly designed to keep anyone out that doesn't fit in their profile of the standard 'yes' nodding type.

Everything about it. Especially the non conversational format and that STUPID points nonsense.

You folks are too harsh. Can it be that those who like to think of themselves as "cutting-edge" can't handle change?
I found the layout to be quite intuitive and easy to navigate.
The problem that I have with the site id that it's all about problem solving and not about discussion. It lacks warmth. It doesn't feel like a community as this forum does.
Maybe given a little time...
