P2P and Anshe - do I care?

Welcome to the black and white world of Anshe's polls. It is not the first time all of the responses that did not agree with her point of view were similarly worded. It's the whole "you're either with us or you support terrorists!" mentality. She even trotted out the requisite Iraq reference.




The irony in all of this is that your zeal to develop every square inch of telehub land with craptastic mall after craptastic mall and then turn around and charge ridiculous rent is one of the major contributing factors to the downfall of telehubs. When people talk about laggy telehubs and malls, hello, they are talking about your "developed commercial areas". You remember those - the ones you again tout as reason to buy into Dreamland to escape.

So let's see - you help make telehubs the crapholes that they are with your malls, and then you also help keep the prices inflated with high rents and your dominance in the land market, and then people are supposed to be sympathetic to you when your cash cow has kicked the bucket? What alternate universe do you live in, Anshe? Are you so out of touch with normal people who don't want to dominate all of the metaverse that you can't see how ridiculous that is?

If you had come here and just posted honestly and said that you were opposed to this change, and expressed your reasons why, you would have probably garnered sympathy and even support. Instead, you just continued a sequence of bizarre behavior that started with your Ginko posts, and does more damage to you than helps you. That is a shame. You are a shrewd business woman, and all this seems to be quite beneath you.

Does that count if the poll is about the pollmaker?

It should count doubly, since the polls are generally bullshit ones like this one.

It is very important to note that the "poor, poor land owners" who capitalized on hub land are the ones most to blame for the move to P2P. Perhaps if hubs were useful, pleasant spaces, there would be a massive outcry against these moves. Instead, telehub land is mired in ugly, painful, laggy builds that everyone despises.

You brought your undoing upon yourself, Anshe. Congrats!

I would too. I have nothing personal against Anshe, don't think there is anything wrong with her being sucessful or a major player here in SL.

Anshe, don't you see that you are only hurting yourself here, as Enabran says, you are only damaging your public image? People who are struggling to afford christmas gifts and just to pay their bills day to day aren't going to lose any sleep over you losing $5000US when you're apparently still making a good deal more money off of SL than most of us. That's like asking us to feel sorry for Bill Gates because he can't afford a new mansion. Public opinion will not be in your favor, as you already know.

You are a smart and enterprising person, please explain to me the purpose of this poll. It can't be martyrdom, that is done much better with humility. You start something like this and have to know that it cannot end well. So is there some reason that you've posted a poll like this that I am not seeing or understanding?

But, come on, you left out the best part! The reason that the hubs are being removed is the precise manner in which the land around them was managed! The irony is delicious! Someone makes a bunch of money on hubs and then kills her own golden goose by reaching up its ass for an egg just a little too hard.

1. Spend the next month randomly giving us all of your L$ holdings. Share the Love.

2. Travel to each of your properties and Abandon the land.

3. Delete your account and your web sites.

4. Have a revelation and chalk it all up to a learning experience.

Yes, polls about individuals are disallowed based on the forum guidelines. The rule was made to protect people from being attacked or humiliated by others. It's a little less clear when someone starts the poll about themselves, but as we can see, the net result is the same.
