From: Ulrika Zugzwang The city will have two phases. A project management phase and a self-ruled phase. The fundamental goal of the city is to preserve the snow sims by building a compelling destination for all members of SL. We are doing that through architecture (the city plan and structures), culture (art, church and music services, and events), and politics (a service-based government). Recently we have made tremendous progress towards that goal, by finishing beta architecture, laying the foundation of a government, and creating our own vendor system to track our economy. When things stabilize, the plan is to replace the project-management hierarchy with an hierarchy comprised of productive citizens.
During the project-management stage Kendra and I have the right to bring in members who we feel will contribute to the project in one of the three areas of interest and to eject members who are obstacles to reaching our goal. During the self-ruled phase the constraints will be considerably less.
Thus, as one of the project managers with a real timeline and concrete goals, I have to ask myself will Ace Cassidy contribute to this process or will he be a hinderance to it. In my opinion the best that could happen is that you will grow bored with trolling and become a silent partner. The worst that could happen is that your actions could impede the progress of this project and cause the team to fail. If I'm wrong, then convince me otherwise.
Most new members of the group join by introducing themselves, showing us what the can contribute, and discussing what they'll do. Do you have any skills aside from creating satirical parties and name calling in the forums that we might benefit from?
~Ulrika~ Okay.... let me get this straight. LL gives a group some land to use, no charge other than tier fees. Now this group has 2 officers, and they are the ones who shall determine who is worthy or unworthy to take part in the group. Excuse me but something smells pretty bad with all this.

From: Kendra Bancroft The People of the group own the land, so The People have a say as to how the land is used and what manner of building is to go there.
That's interesting. Is that why I was told I was taking up too much space and coloring out of the lines, while building a 'scale' Kriminalmuseum, which is what was requested ?

What's worse is the Neverland folks didn't pay for their land, they don't even have to pay land tier fees, and their group is closed too! Either that or I'm crafting a sarcastic counterpoint. I'm not sure. ~Ulrika~

Ah, but theirs is not an open ended project. It has also been stated by LL that they were more or less testing the waters with Neverland.
I am not in anyway agreeing or disagreeing with either side here. Just pointing out the difference. As long as Neualtenburg's government stays within the confines of Neualtenberg I have no issue with it whatsoever.

We do have to share ya know. Also since Neualtenburg is far smaller than the city of Rothenburg --the builds have to be also smaller. Not to mention we don't have a finite amount of prims.

It's on a quarterly lease dependant upon it's abilty to thrive as a city.

Stating there is no diference between the two is simply rediculous. And actually deserves no answer.

I would like to welcome to our group, Neualtenburg's newest member, Ace Cassidy. Ace in the past few days has helped define our policy for freedom of expression, has led to a modification in the preliminary constitution, and has scheduled his own event. I would like to invite all of you to come down to Ace's Costume Party sponsored "Silly Hat" Contest on Monday the 22 November 2004 at 7:30 p.m. PST in Neualtenburg in the sim of Anzere. I'd like you to meet and talk to the people behind the project and experience some of the less-controversial aspects of the city including the Medieval Bavarian architecture, Bier Steins, and chicken hats. It would do us all some good to get away from the forums for just one night and have some fun. Also, I haven't said it before publicly but I would like to give thanks to Toy LaFollette, whose huge land-tier donation at the beginning of the project allowed us to get as far as we did. Although she left the group due to a controversial RL demonstration, we are still indebted to her generous support, thank her, and regret her departure. With that said, let's all have some beer tomorrow, shall we? ~Ulrika~

Not to mention we don't have a finite amount of prims. Well ya'll have fun ya hear ! I'll just sit at home with my crayons and color away in my own book. Incidentally it was Ulrika who told me she wanted the museum to be spot on. Thanks anywho, the still apparent iron fist in the SDF logo, thinly veiled as the fist of the worker, still isn't to my taste, silly hats embraced or not.
