The biggest offender is, of course, CUA...who doesn't pronounce his name the way we all hear it in our heads "QUE-UH", but pronounces it "SEE-YOU-A," as in the letters.
Drift Monde, if you ask her, is not, "Mond," but "Mon-dey"
So...Roll Call! Step up and pronounce your names...
(Tcoz....feel free to go first. LOL)

Exactly as it's spelt of course... although, it does help if you're a celt and read it that way ....
Siobhan = Shiv Awn, of course ... Taylor = Tail Or ... This can be tricky though, I've heard it pronounced as Tay Lor, which of course is completely wrong.

"Torley" is actually pronounced with a stress on the LEE part, not the other way around. But it's kind of hard for whatever reason, so I don't mind going with the guttural TorTor.

I pronounce Nogard as "Noh-gahrd". However most ppl shorten my name to Nog which is pronounced "Nawg", which I prefer anywaz. The regulars at BZ beach however have appearantly decided to shorten my name to "No" which is just weird, especially when answering a question of mine in the affirmative (e.g. "Yes, No"

"Cubey" is pronounced "Syoh'bye" with a glottal stop between the consonants. And "Terra" is, of course, "Yurr-gh". The "T" is silent and the double "R" signifies a nice, phlegmy "H" sound, followed by the silent "A".
Syoh'bye Yurrgh.

Belaya, way to go with the Monty Python reference!
Incidentally, my name is pronounced "Luxury Yacht", where the "CH" in "Yacht" is not silent. Or just call me DINSDALE!

I keep getting people calling me "Amanda" so this might help. All the A's are the latin pronunciation, as in "adios" or "father". So it's Ah-nahn-dah. Now if you shorten it to my nickname (Ana), the first "a" is like "can" or "pat". A-nah. Now children, can you say "pedantic"? Good! I knew you could!

Techzen said as Tex-En as in Texan (down here we don't say it as Tex-An) but I'm used to everyone saying it as Tech Zen or calling me Tech. If I only had a dollar for everytime someone asked if I was Techsupport.

Cristiano is both spelled and pronounced with no fucking letter H in it:
Cris-tee-ah-no
Contrary to what Chip said, I prefer the more colloquial Spanish pronunciation of Midnight, which is "puta".
Periodically people (YES I'm looking at you Pituca Chang) split my name at the T for some inexplicable reason, and call me Crist. Sometimes they combine this quirk with the aformentioned insertion of a phantom letter H and call me Christ, which is flattering but unnecessary.

From: Eggy Lippmann Hello, my name is eggy lippmann and I pronounce eggy... uh... eggy! yes but some people call you edgey although maybe their not mispronouncing your name ha ha ha my name is a title (kha) and a name (amon). it's pronouced "khahmahn" as "come on!" people sometimes pronouce it with a long A so it sounds like cayman. but hey, i'll answer to anything. "that green plant guy" will do me just fine. edited to say that cris really cracks me up. and thank you maggie for publishing a thread that i can read backward since that's normally what i end up doing anyway.

Despite popular belief(at least in the many IRC circles I frequented over the last couple of years ) my name is not some freakish shorthand for Says Mr. A! It is however, Says-Mrah. Svarog? Well, let's say my Slavic is rusty. But I like to pronounce it "Svar-ohg".
