And Thanks again for your Support, it just confirms what i said, you can be a Popular almost Rockstar but as you are a Blue guy, probably reluctant and French as Hell, the Authority keeps Dodging you... =/ And also, they keep dodging the Group Projects where a Linden isnt Personnally enlisted in, which makes UNFAIR PUBLICITY where some projects are held under Spotlights while others, as wonderful and creative as the pre mentionned ones have to be Self Litten by HAND with Torches. Visit SimCast, if you want to see what an ANONYMOUS TEAM with FREAKING CREATIVE POWER can come out with for the Sole Pleasure of US ALL !!! I don't personally think it's fair for us to expect the Lindens to give a nod to every one who deserves one. No matter how often they changed out the picks they could never cover every worthy build. Word of mouth is what most drives the popularity of any given place. No matter what LL does in this respect there will always be people who feel snubbed. It's a no-win situation for them as long as we have an expectation of it being "fair." The appreciation you get from your fellow SL'ers is what really matters. _____________________

I agree you should have your place in top picks, especially when the same hair texture store has been on the list since it opened.

I've never gotten the logic behind the Linden top picks... they seem to have almost nothing to do with what's cool and useful in SL.. especially to new people.
Yadni, your junkyard rocks. Even as an old player, I check it out regularly to see what new goodies have turned up. Dwell favors clubs and free money licks... it would be nice to have a list that rewarded excellence. Surreal |

Another Short Story by Uncle YadNi: Took me 3 Days to get at last my name there, IMing, and Mailing, Damn Pissed Off again ! Damn YadNi, I think what you've done is cool and all, but people get snubbed all the time in the RL and much of the time it's JUST AN ACCIDENT. Yeah it hurts at the time, and Yeah, I agree the Junkyard should be in Picks, but why are you rolling out a laundry list of "all the times I felt sorry for myself" ??? Your peers dig what you've done, and that's probably the most important. Crack open a beer and go build something fun! |

At the very beginning of SimHorror, i was Foxy s Main Designer, and we were building an Island for Halloween, I remember spending HOURS on the terraformation of the Craziest Maze SL ever had, One Third of a Sim to loose visitors with the most LOW PRIM a Maze can be, something that had not been made before and that no one tried to copy because it s a MAD work to do. Ever ask Foxy whose idea that was? _____________________

Yadni, you are a fun guy. You always have a kind word for the newbest of newbs, built some of the coolest theme sims. I enjoy when you attend events, admiring your doobie tokin, fishtank shoe stomp and hover text replies. I will always send folks to the Junkyard because its an institution in SL.
Perhaps the Linden's will take you more seriously when you lower your standards to Most Sexy Scripter, Most Sexy Builder or Most Sexy Blue Avatars in a Thong competion. That seems to gain the most reward and recognition these days. According to the rating system, some club dwellers build better when they dance around in thongs. Lindens ignore most of us, favor some and ignore many in-world issues. _____________________

YadNi, you're in my top picks, anywhere that is under your feet is bleesed to have such a creative (and twisted) individual standing on it...
It does surprise me the junkyard hasn't been recognised for it's obvious aid to the new player... But I guess we need to know about a hair salon instead because it is such a huge benefit to society?? And let me just say..... rather shout... so people cannot miss it.... WHY ARE THERE COMMERCIAL PLACES IN TOP PICKS IF WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HOST EVENTS FOR ADVERTISING PURPOSES? DOES ANYONE ELSE SEE THIS AS A DOUBLE STANDARD? |

Aw, YadNi, we all love you! I don't pay much attention to the Lindens' top picks anymore, because they're so random and they never change. But, I do have the Junkyard as one of my personal picks, I send people there whenever possible, and I still have your name on the label of my house, no matter how much I've modified it.
Don't let it get to you-- you're one of the coolest people in SL, and one hell of an amazing builder... word of mouth from all the people who already know you will give you much better publicity than the Lindens could. From the glimpse I've seen of SimCast, I know it's gonna really be something to see. And, speaking of publicity, I hope you don't mind that I've quoted you in my sig. I couldn't resist a line like that. ![]() _____________________

The Lindens are entitled to pick their favorites, commercial or non commercial. I have always liked looking at their selection and I hope that "Top Picks" will not be removed. ![]() _____________________

My mistake, you said simcast, jimmy thomson has done simQUEST. Also, Jimmy Thomson was the main designer for SimHorror, and yadni had VERY little to do with it (all of his work was less than satisfactory, as told to me by one of the leaders). So its incredibly disheating seeing him take credit for others work. everything else I agree with you. |

At least I haven't forgotten about you YAndi, although I told you to script your darklife shop and I still haven't... but that's because other things like a lagging server came up. I'll try my best to open your shop this month!

SimCast, not to be confused with SimQuest, is a soon-to-be-opening rpg game that covers 3 sims. YadNi has done the evil sim, and it's very, very nice. Go there and see. I think when someone is so highly known and respected people don't even think they need to mention how cool a build or project is because... it's just the way he builds. I know I feel like I have to behave myself* when I'm around YadNi, because I'm just a little intimidated. I knew about Yad from about Day Two of my Second Life, and I'm sure most people have had the same experience.
*I don't actually behave but I feel like I SHOULD. _____________________

There have been many scripts, sounds, objects, textures, and examples available at the University of SL Libray in Phobos for almost a year. And for L$0 instead of L$1! ![]() |

What the hell are you trying to do here, clever, i only talk of the MAZE, and the basic Idea, by Foxy Indeed as she was the boss was to get a Maze as Low Prim as Possible on her Sim, DID YOU SEE ME SAYING ANYTHING ELSE ???? and i didnt say but the fact a skeleton became an avatar is Starax and My fault, and the Volcano arriving Area was Mine too, and the SOLID PRIMMY MAZE under Jimmy s House was MINE AGAIN, ALL FUCKING MINE, DONE WITH MY HANDS ALONE!!! "seeing him take credit for others work" You Bad Person! I also see you Spreading some nice poison for your pleasure with " all of his work was less than satisfactory, as told to me by one of the leaders)", which is good to make an opinion on you, but let me remind you " Since the beginning, Foxy wanted to live in a Space Station, and with the success of SimHorror, she had it built, by the Excellent Jimmy, who is a Killer at building, and an OVERKILLER at texturing", am i not polite enuf ? I prefer to stay polite than to spread poison like you do, hun, i guess we havnt much to do together as it obviously shows. Take Care of YourSelf in other words, mind your own ass next time when u re not sure what u re saying. |

"i only talk of the MAZE, and the basic Idea, by Foxy Indeed as she was the boss was to get a Maze as Low Prim as Possible on her Sim"
Foxy wanted a big maze, done with trees or something, and we discussed it weeks before the Lindens had finished her island. My first comment was that it'd hog up a heck of a lot of prims. She hadn't done building herself, so she hadn't given consideration to the prim limit. I explained why, if she wanted any prims left for the planned volcano dance club, haunted mansion, and graveyard, some kind of novel prim-sparing approach would be necessary when building a very large maze. After giving it a day or two of thought, I recalled catacombs friends of mine had built IRL by digging trenches and roofing them (now that's a hell of a build, with a multi-storey castle over it!). I suggested a similar low-prim solution to Foxy, and said a couple of times that I'd LOVE to do this maze build. I brought it up a few times after that, but she didn't seem so hot on the idea. I worked on a part of SimHorror Foxy eventually changed her mind about (a hellish dance club with a volcano spewing lava across the dance floor, which RacerX Gullwing did, including some great little running lava people), then went off to work on another project. Sometime later Foxy asked me to rejoin the SimHorror team to do some furniture for the mansion because you were too busy to finish it. She told me to have a look around at the other builds on the island, and that's when I discovered the nearly completed maze. I'd have a hard time putting into words how crappy I felt when I found out she had hired someone else to do it. Can you imagine how I feel when I see you posting, Yadni, to complain that you didn't get enough credit for building the maze I thought up and wanted very, very much to build? Everyone knows you built the damn thing, man. Believe me, I know just how famous that maze made you. Back in October people would say to me, "Oh, wow, you gotta check out SimHorror. You gotta see this maze thing Yadni came up with!" Ow. Ow ow ow. The Lindens took note of SimHorror and have mentioned it on numerous occasions. When I spoke with Robin Linden recently she brought it up. And you were famous before SimHorror, and before Foxy hired you she would mention every flippin' day that she was trying to get you on the team; she was so excited at the prospect that I was sure she was gonna pee herself. She's always been certain to make sure you got credit for your work on her project. You got to build the maze. You got paid for it. You got famous for it. Yet I heard you bitched the whole time you worked on it, and now you're complaining you didn't get enough attention for it. What the hell do you want, a medal? I would have settled for the opportunity to just do the build. I don't have any pity for you. Sorry. _____________________

unintelligible Internet- Serious Business. as for how "famous" yadni is, how come I haven't head of him until he opened a shop in darklife? Frankly I really didn;t even know who this guy ever was until a few days ago. |
