This is a prime example of nitpicking. ...snip...I don't think many 8 yr olds were doing geometry in 1800's. So the simple fact we are communicating in such a maner, computer, internet vs letters delivered by stage coach doesn't mean anything?....snip...make your point and I'll be gracious enough not to nit pick it to death..etc...

I don't need to nitpick.. nor to make fun of you.. Your own post did that just fine thank you very much... a veritable diatribe of emotional rancor in response to a simple statement.

I stand by my statement and my opinion that the "current" generation is not measurably, and certainly not noticeably , more intelligent than any previous one. You mistake education for intelleigence, and the ability to pass a particular subject for intellectual capacity. That is a truly fallacious argument.

That we have students doing geometry today does not mean a damn thing to me - considering that peole like Michaelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci were doing similar things at approximately the same age. While some people claim these were geniuses by today's standards, I would argue they are only geniuses by the standards of their day. People use what is available to them to communicate, to travel and to live their daily lives. Each new invention is built on the efforts of the time and inventions which came before - to some extent. Only when there is a quantum paradigm shift in thought is that not true.

Guess what? There have been extremely few quantum shifts in scientific paradigms used by mankind over our entire history. We crawl from miniscule advancement to miniscule advancement... we don't make huge steps from generation to generation. Even the airplane, for instance, has been a deliberate progression of developments... with easily traceable facets... nothing earth-shattering intellectually. There has been a long history of scientific progress to make today's planes - over three hundred years according to some.....

I stand by my statement and await your sure-to-be-emotional response.

So your "intelligence" argument is a tad off topic in comparison to the rest of the statement, the main premise being working together since you missed that part, and not relevant to the thread itself.

First of all Foster, when you had the disscussion spurring this, we saw your behavior as bad not on the fact that you are proud to be white, but that you seemed to think Jewish people controled the world, and that there was some sort of crazy conspiracy where they would take over the world. I can understand if you are proud to be who you are. But your view of Jewish people is what made you more labeled on the neo-nazi side, that and requesting a shirt with a swastica on it.

Also as others have stated "White Pride" tends to be a motto of sorts of white supremecy groups.

Again hun, totally see where your going, mostly correct. The problem here is we must analyze the problem a little more in depth. Easy to say how rediculous this is without an educated understanding of what's going on.

As mentioned we've come a long way since slavery but if one were to think it's equal, one would be very saddly mistaken!!!

My friend MrsJakal Suavage, I do not need to use my "ancestors misfortune as an excuse everytime they get treated unfairly?" My ancestors weren't denied a job cause of skin color, actually probably they did but for this point not relavent, I was!!!

So, putting the slavery past aside would you care to assist me in explaining to 2 young Black men the reason they must work harder, faster, smarter and still may not recieve the same treatment and benifits as others simply because they were born, and thier parents are black, and thier skin is dark and society will respond to them differently then thier peers who may happen to be white?

Wow, O.k. I didn't expect to strike a nerve with you...which obviously I did. Sorry if I appear to be naive when it comes to another race. Well, maybe I am considering that that I am Caucasian and never have experienced not being hired by a job because of my skin color. (At least I don't think so). I have not been hired for jobs for many reasons I'm sure...but I always get the excuse "although you did have the qualifations we were looking for, unfortunately we have filled the position" .

I'm not blind to the fact that their is still racism and/or claims of racism. I just wanted to know when the "history" will be stopped being used as an excuse.

Also if you notice, I did take parts of your post out and that is because it had nothing to do with my orginal post.

I'm going to end this post now as I sit here pondering what I really would like to say, I'm using my better judgement and going to leave with these words I like to live my life by "Your Life is what YOU make it"

I always feel bad for the swastika, myself. It sucks that such an ancient and widespread symbol of peace and good fortune could get corrupted that way.

There is African American News Anchors, Talk show host and lets not forget the first ever crowned African American Miss America was Vanessa Williams in 1983. There is the Ebony Awards. African Americans dominate the music industry. We have African American politicians in all levels. The list goes on and on. America has come along way since the days of slavery. The question I have is this...when will they stop using their ancestors misfortune as an excuse everytime they get treated unfairly? This Generation didn't have slaves....when are they going to stop treating us like we are the ones that did it to them? (isn't that racism in some way?).

Agreed this is a sensative subject. I'm sorry if I sound unsympathetic, this is not the case. I love all races. I just can't stand whiners.

That was in Jessie though not the forums, and I was just ranting about the state of the media at that point. It wasn't about controlling the world. My rant was more along the lines of controlling the media, like Time Warner, CNN, New york Times... so on and so forth. I'll go find some facts and come back tommorow if you want to debate that.

Also I didn't request a shirt with a swastika I asked if anyone had been banned before for wearing one considering you flourish the Iron Cross in that German Rebuild there...

Well then I'm sorry when you said it I took it as you asking for the shirt, not wondering if it was bannable. But from your conversation you came off extremely paranoid, and thought that infact Jewish people controled the world/US and at one point you talked about "protecting your race" or something to that extent, as if caucasians are being oppressed and ignored.

My opinion on racial pride is similar to many of the opinions posted here, that your born race isnt some great acheivement, you should instead have pride in things that were something other than predestined.
